“Singapore trip”

very nice hotel with good restaurant, although breakfast was completely disorganised probably due to lack of staff. it's not in the centre but they have a shuttle bus to Orchard road. it is very convenient if you want to visit Botanic gardens which I highly recommend, especially Orchid garden which was fantastic.

“Home away from home”

I stayed with wife and two teen sons for 3 nights. The hotel is clean.Rooms are spacious- we stayed in 2 superior rooms- and amenities are sufficient. The bathroom is very good. We stayed in the Plymouth wing. Though the hotel is not near any MRT station ( Newton and Orchard seem to be equidistant) public bus services are excellent and cabs are easily available. Though the check in time is 2 PM, the hotel allowed us to check in at 1045. Appreciate that. They also allowed us to check out at 1 PM- one hour beyond official check out time. Vegetarian options in menu are very very limited though. All in all, a comfortable stay and we would gladly return for another stay.

“Cheap and Cheerful Hotel”

Hotel was fine, for the price we paid I was very happy. Hotel could do with a full makeover but then the price would probably rise to reflect that. Internet charges were reasonable and the buffet breakfast was very good.

“For what we paid - fantastic”

It is a little away from the Orchard Rd, but taxis are readily available and only cost about S$5. Room was fine and clean. All the staff were friendly

“Good for its 'stars' rating”

No problems with the hotel but it is too far from the shops and metro and you need to book the hotel complimentary bus which can fill up at certain times of the day. The staff don't smile easily but nobody in Singapore smiles easily.

“Value for Money”

We stayed in the Plymouth wing of the Hotel and we were impressed by the good condition of the building and especially by the size and comfort of our room and double bed. We had an evening meal at the Indian restaurant attached to the Hotel and found the quality of food and service second to none. Breakfast was healthy and plentiful and we enjoyed our dip in the Hotel swimming pool. A great way to relax before the long flight home. We paid a very reasonable sum for bed and breakfast and we thought The Copthorne Orchid was fantastic value for money compared to the Hotel we stayed at on our way out to Australia, which we booked from a different company.

“Average Hotel”

* An average clean and comfortable hotel. * Standard room is very small but clean. * A bit of a distance to the nearest train station. Have to use taxis. * Breakfast buffet could be better. * Lounge bar entertainment catered only in Mandarin. * Reception staff very aloof!!!

“Ok but not conveniently located”

Sort of old hotel with decent service but a little distant from local conveniences.
