"Queen for a day or two! I was treated like royalty"
India is a country of contrasts. Abject poverty and wealth beyond your imagination. As a tourist I needed an oasis in the midst of swirling humanity. The Oberoi gave me solace to think, indulge myself, work on projects and to have my needs administered to by a gracious, well-trained hotel staff.
If I had my fondest wishes to come true, they would be to travel to every Oberoi Hotel in India. Enjoy the cultural exchange, the history of the people, view first hand a 5,000 year old society coming to grips with modernity, and in the evenings I would bask in the 24 hour spa, exercise facilities, DVD's on demand and butlers to make my stay more comfortable.
Treat yourself! There is no way you could be disappointed with the Oberoi client services. The rooms are impeccable. Surprisingly things are tourist-friendly. Come on! You only live once.
This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. The hotel is very pretty and has amazing infinity pools all over the property. The restaurants are all good, and I appreciate that they offer both Indian and Western options for meals. The staff are very friendly and provide amazing service. The pool was great. The workout room was nice, but still way too hot to get a good run in. I also tried the spa and it was fantastic!
Set in landscaped gardens and characterised by striking domes, this hotel is in the centre of the commercial …More
The place is beautiful...not in an extravagant way...its cozy, comfortable and relaxing....love the ways the rooms and bathrooms are designed and decorated... the staff was really warm too...actually went out of their usual duties to help organize stuff for me - airport transfers, city commute, etc and ofcourse, a good variety in food with multiple restaurants to choose...
4th time here within 16mths in India. Leela Gurgaon service has dropped considerably ever since they broke away from the Kempinski chain. Staff's attitude toward service changed for the worse. They no longer smile at you or feel genuine when answering your questions and often look irritated. The worse ones were the breakfast staff. When I approached to request for eggs, the two staff just stood there for at least 30 secs chatting to each other before they acknowledge my presence. Furthermore, I had to keep requesting for my eggs coz they forgot about it. This happened to me the last visit as well. Many of my colleagues told me about this and they're now staying at the Trident or Oberoi and I think I will too. It's ashame coz it used to be a fantastic hotel with superior service.
Gurgaon, a dynamic township, is located in the National Capital Region – Delhi. It is one among the newest of Indian cities and perhaps the fastest growing corporate center in the country. Gurgaon is a success story—an entire transformation from a once sleepy settlement into a high-tech address with skyscrapers all around. The city of Gurgaon is located at the outskirts of Delhi and is an ideal destination in India for investment in the realty sector. Close proximity to Delhi and exceptional infrastructure has contributed in Gurgaon turning out to be one of the most significant corporate and industrial hubs of Haryana. Shopping malls flourish in Gurgaon and tourists can move around the town and enjoy scenic surroundings. The city also draws tourists to the Damdama Lake and the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary.
