Voici ma critique de Pepper House, Extérieur Pas d’éclairage dans le parking la nuit. Dangereux quand on rentre.

I tried very hard to please this guest. She was upset because I told her I was sorry, but we do not do dinner - she had asked me to cook her raw scallops that she wanted to buy from a seafood truck. She booked online and the price was clearly listed before she booked. The price is very reasonable for the area.

The Pepper House Inn is located in a very nice area and is more affordable than the other places in Brewster. I had a room on the first floor with a comfortable bed and own bathroom. Debbie is very nice and prepares a good breakfast every morning. She is very knowledgeable about the Cape Cod area. I had some nice conversations with the other friendly guests as Debbie provided refills of coffee.

A stay at The Pepper House offers the unique opportunity to experience an historic inn with authentic features and complimentary furnishings. Our room was clean and functional. Our Hostess made us feel welcome and provided helpful knowledge about the Brewster community. Her breakfasts were tasty. Great value by Cape Cod standards.

I spoke with Jason on the phone prior to his stay. I told him there would be a note on the door for him. I also spoke with another of the guests staying in the room with him. They asked to accomodate a 3rd person in the room. I made up the couch for them. I told them how to enter and left them a note on the door. I also emailed/messaged Jason a couple of times to respond to his questions. I arrived a few minutes after they did and they were already gone. The room was perfectly made up, beautiful, and ready for them.

Very poor condition of the entry screen door and porch. Outside shrubbery/trees are quite overgrown and need some TLC. Room was somewhat musty and dark with very small old tube TV set. Bathroom adequate with very small shower. A/C was loud window unit but did keep room cool. Innkeeper was very friendly. Breakfast omelette was very tasty. There is potential for a beautiful place if updated, but sadly it has not been well maintained.

Property was dirty, unkept, musty. Room was disgusting and dirty. We had to stay one night but left the next day even though we paid for two days. Never met any manager. When we arrived there was a note on the door to come in and our key was in the lock at our room. I can't believe the Brewster Board of Health allows this Inn to operate in it's condition.

Total House Of Horrors.
When we pulled up to the Inn the house and grounds were in terrible condition. Upon entering the house via the side porch it also was in terrible condition. The screen door was broken, the floor was filthy with old leaves and dirty empty flowers pots. The only cushioned chair was old and dirty and the rest of the metal chairs were all rusty. When I checked of the other porch off of the living room it was in the same condition. There was no one there to immediately greet us and after calling out a few times we got a response from someone upstairs say that they would be there in a minute which turned out to be several minutes. When she finally did come down she walk right by us say she needed a minute and walked into the kitchen. While she was in there she blew her nose a couple of times before coming out. Not the most pleasant greeting. She then came out and sat in a chair and went on to tell us that going up and down the stairs was a little to much for her. She then handed us a hand written note on a plan piece of paper say that it would explain everything in regards to our stay and then asked if we had any questions. On our way to our room I found the rest of the house to be in kind of disarray and dusting and on kept. Upon entering our room it was kind of dark and dingy and smelled a little musty. After looking around the room I noticed that there were several air freshener tucked in corners along with the canister that absorbed moisture. The window AC unit was load and

Guests were more than an hour early. I was upstairs finishing the last room and told them I would be down in a few minutes. Was winded and told them I needed a couple of minutes to recover. Some leaves do occasionally blow into the screened in porch, especially if a guest leaves the door open. The chairs on the porches are rod iron mesh. Meant to be sat on without cushions. The A/C in their room is brand new, works very well and is much quieter than the old ones.

The musty smell was awful . The owner has the potential for a beautiful place but when you walk in to a musty smell that knocks you over it is unacceptable . The room was liveable but again when you wake up to fire alarms going off and having to call the fire department when you can’t get the owner on the phone again is unacceptable !!! We left at 4AM after calling the fire department at 2:30Am on our Sunday morning departure day . I feel some type of payment should be given back especially since the night before one room alarm was chirping so my friends in the other room had two nights of interrupted sleep !

The Pepper House Inn is a lovely historic inn with original stateliness and a friendly charm. Our room was reminiscent of an earlier era, with a four-poster bed, dark mahogany furnishings, a very comfortable mattress, soft linens, and adjoining bath. Debbie, our host, was very helpful in directing us to beaches and explaining the tides, and she gave us great restaurant recommendations. She was also really wonderful to talk to while being sensitive to privacy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Needs a little TLC
Pepperhouse Inn looked very cute from the ads on Hotel.com. The rooms were rather musty smelling and ours was a bit dark. It would have been nice to be able to sit on the patio that was there. The rugs in the living room area were definitely musty and the place just needed some better ventilation. The owner was pleasant enough and helpful if we had any questions or concerns. Our bed was very comfortable, and it was a pleasure to have new, clean towels daily. I would have enjoyed having more choices for breakfast, like muffins, oatmeal, waffles, and the coffee was way too weak! Two heaping teaspoons of coffee per cup is usually the recipe for a good cup. The area was very nice, the general store being the highlight of the particular strip we were on. I probably would not stay there again.

Each of the guest rooms has 3 large 5 ft by 2.5 ft windows, and most have a ceiling light, plus all have at least 3 more lamps. We will fix the coffee. The porch is available for guests to use. We also have yogurt which we serve for breakfast and cereal available.

I booked a room for my daughter who was attending a seminar at a Cape Institute. An hour after arriving, she called to tell me she had left & found another place to stay! I was shocked; I had met with the innkeeper 2 days beforehand & everything looked fine. My daughter said the room was so moldy she started to have an asthma attack. She had a very difficult time opening the windows (she is a very strong athlete). When she did get them open, the screens did not fit in place. She contacted the innkeeper, who does not live on the property, who came over & tried to be helpful. My daughter realized that there is no innkeeping staff there on a regular basis (never in the evening), the front door does not lock, and she was having trouble locking the door to her room. The innkeeper insisted there was another couple there, but my daughter saw no one else there while she was there. The week before I was on the Cape, 3 mins. driving down the road to Pepper House & never once saw another car in the lot. I found the innkeeper to be friendly & helpful, but that did not help with the strong smell of mold, a front door that doesn't lock, or the absence of any regular staff. When I spoke with her on the phone to get a full refund for the cost of the room, she was reasonable and refunded everything. I think the innkeeper will have to make some basic changes to this property to make it comfortable to stay there.

Dont waste your hard earned money here. RUN!
I am posting the same review I posted on Trip Advisor. Please read the other reviews so you know that I am in no way shape or form exaggerating. Every other place we stayed on our trip was wonderful. I never give bad reviews. Unfortunately I feel its my responsibility to warn people about this place and encourage you not to spend Without getting into ALL the details of why I was left crying on the bathroom floor in disgust after being treated poorly by the innkeeper I will make this brief by saying don't stay here under any circumstance. I don't have enough room to post all the details here so please read the reviews on trip advisor. But please do your self a favor and Do not stay here.

Musty B&B in need of a clean up!
The initial smell of the B&B is extremely musty. I thought that it might go away, but I was wrong. The owners must know it smells, because there are air freshners in every corner trying to coverup the pungent odor, and it actually made it worse. The windows do not have screens, therefore you cannot open the windows for fresh air! The common area of the b&b was also dark and uninviting. The inn keepers mother sat there and read a lot so i did not feel comfortable using it as my own space. The bedding had hairs on it from previous guests and the sheets felt damp from the humid/musty interior. The bathroom had a bad odor as well. A large bottle of body wash was left there with a giant hair on it. There was also dust on things that should have been dusted. The breakfast was fine. Nothing to write home about.

Great time at Inn on the Square
We stayed for three nights in August 2012. The Inn was extremely comfortable and the area was lovely and peaceful. It was great to be walking distance from the town of Falmouth and its lovely stores and good selection of restaurants. Falmouth was a wonderful choice for our first vacation in Cape Cod, given its proximity to the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and ability to drive elsewhere on the Cape. The Inn on the Square was a fine selection of hotel. Spacious room, comfortable beds and bedding, very clean and quiet. We did not use the indoor pool or the adjacent restaurant, but it was nice to know they were there. I would recommend the Inn, especially for families with children, because of the nice size of the rooms. The room rate was a bit high, but that's to be expected in high season, and it was lower than anything on Martha's Vineyard itself. The only area of improvement we saw is that the reception staff could have been more informative about things to do and see in the area. They provided little more than a map.

A very attractive old house, conveniently located close to shops & restaurants and easy to find on route 6A. Very comfortable room with the tallest bed we've ever seen (steps provided!). Very good breakfasts provided by the owner, Debbie, who provides excelllent advice about where to go & what to do. Note that there are no staff on the premises overnight, which didn't bother us but others may not be happy about that.

This property was shabby, poorly maintained and full of clutter. The bulb holders and shades on the table lamps were dangerously loose and the electric radiator cover was missing. Windows were not clean. The wardrobe was a cupboard with stained walls and the space limited by a large box stored in the bottom. These are a few examples only. Photographs are available should you wish for further detail.

Very quaint and elegant B & B
We had a great time staying at the Pepper House Inn. The house has a wonderful ambience to it, and our room was both beautiful and extremely comfortable. Everything was extremely clean, and we had fresh new towels and the bed was well made every day after we had left the room. We received great info on where to go and what to see from the family who owns the B & B, and the breakfast was great and very well done every morning. We would definitely recommend this B & B, especially if you're looking for something a bit more personal and comfortable than a typical hotel.
