This is great value. The location is not as close to the buses as some of the others, but it is still in Chamonix Centre and close to everything. If you like Apres-ski parties, this is THE place. Amazing good times at Chambre-Neuf, until 8PM. The ideal room location is NOT the top floor, which is basically an attic, and not above Chambre Neuf - it rocks so loud that we were on the fourth floor directly above and could hear the bass/drums below. Great breaksfasts. Staff were really friendly. We love apres-ski parties so would definitely go again!

Hotel staff Mrs. Barnie from beginning of our entry to the hotel and check out was really kindly and helpfully to us for everything what was we need that about hotel and town. We really appriciated of her attitude. We felt like at our home for her services and kindness. Hotel was really beatifull and free parking is an advantage. We left the hotel with happiness. Special thanks to Mrs. Barnie and other all kindly staff.

Beautiful, historic hotel in an easily walkable location. Staff at the hotel went out of their way every day to make my stay and my entire Chamonix experience better. Rooms are clean and those on the Alps side have amazing views. Nice little reading nook with a fireplace on the first floor, along with a dining room and bar. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Chamonix.

The staff were all wonderful. The building itself was built in the 1800’s and they have done a great job keeping it up to date while still preserving the feel of old.

Check in warm and friendly. I wasn’t able to access my room (no issue, I arrived very early) so asked if I could leave my suitcase with reception team so I could explore the town. No problem. Upon check out I asked the same thing. Checked out, left my suitcase with them, full day skiing before flying home that evening. Returned the the hotel to collect my suitcase only to find that it had been stolen!!! I assumed they locked luggage in a storage room but in fact they just left it in reception area for anyone to take. The CCTV camera directly above the luggage area was “not working” and later I found that the archive footage stored on a master hard drive had been “wiped”. For legal reasons I won’t say what I really think happened, but I will never stay here again.

Dear Nick, We apologize for the inconvenience, we do give all our guests the choice to leave their luggage in the reception after check out or in our ski locker room which is locked up. Usually Chamonix is a town where you find cars on the street with the motor running and the key in the ignition, doors are open and ski's are left outside the bars as there is very little crime or theft. That your luggage was stolen was the first time this occured in the hotel and we have contacted the police who confirmed that one individual did a tour in all the hotels stealing luggage that day. He was seen on several security cameras but could not be found or arrested. Again we are very sorry but this really is a very rare thing in this usually very quite and safe town and we have become more cautious because of what happened. We make sure guests are aware of the possibility when leaving their luggage in the reception.

The location is the most valuable thing. It was a very optimal location, about 200m from the heart of Chamonix, in front of the train station. The housekeeping was very good and the rooms were very nice but I would have liked to have a mini fridge. However, the shower drain wasn’t working properly and the bathroom flooded every time we showered. The staff was not very friendly. Some of them didn’t speak French and wouldn’t try to either. Others the same with English. The breakfast was very disorganized and nobody was cleaning the tables or refilling the food. The elevator was broken so we had to go up and down everyday. The day we left, I had a family member go down and ask for help with the luggage because we were in the fourth floor and someone did help us but with a bad attitude. That was quite disappointing. If you care greatly about location, this is your place. Beware though, not great service.

Great location. Close to everything. But my daughter and I got lots of BED BUG BITES!!! Just Google "Chamonix bed bugs". It seems like the bed bugs are popular in this area. BTW we stayed on the 2nd floor.

Expedia always gets the worse rooms in good properties. My room was overlooking a wall. Daily walking tours were the best part of the hotel. Also, location wise its perfect. Clean, well managed hotel.

Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating! The rooms were a little dark and unfortunately no air conditioning during the European heatwave however A/C is not a European thing anywhere! Shower and room were clean and tidy and we would stay again :) Thanks!

Superb location right in the town centre, really lovely staff. Nice style to the refurbished rooms and fast internet in bedrooms as well and great views. I would not hesitate to stay here again. They could improve on the duvets (seemed slightly old and grubby) and the duvet covers (had holes in it- presumably from the industrial laundry); but this did not impact on my enjoyment of my stay.

Great Hotel which I think should be worth an extra star. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The queen rooms we very nicely renovated and the hotel is located in a great location.

Good location but very noisy!
Great location in the centre of town but do not expect a quiet night's sleep as the bar downstairs gets very noisy during the evenings. Would not recommend for young families. The staff also had no clue about where the local buses were to take you to the ski lifts in the mornings... Something quite key in a ski resort!

Great hotel, clean and comfortable ,helpful English speaking staff. Our room was across the street from an outside bar and was quite noisy, on second trip in we had a back much quieter room. Good wifi

Hotel is in a great location. Near train station, gondola lifts and restaurants. We had a beautiful mountain view from our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style and has an assortment of hot and cold food items. Loved the boutique ambiance and charm. The only negative was the curtain less shower which, while showering, allowed water to get on the toilet, sink and floor. This required drying afterwards with a towel especially the floor in front of the toilet and sink as it got very wet and did not have a drain. Fortunately, I heard from other guests that not all rooms had this washroom set up. I would recommend this hotel with a warning about the washroom.
