Dominican Republic Waterpark Holidays

Very nice property, well maintained overall. Rooms were spacious but the room we stayed in had a humidity and AC issue, so much so, one of us developed a wet cough that only got triggered when he entered the room. Pools are nice. Service could improve; there was some staff that was very friendly and serviceable and attentive while there were others that you could just tell did not want to work there. Be very patient as service is SLOW. We were a party of 5 and went to American country restaurant; we ordered (they only offer fast foods such as buffalo wings, burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc) and we had to walk out as it had been about 30 minutes and out food hadn’t arrived. No one even bothered to pass by to ask if we wanted more drinks, again some staff is just not attentive. Beach is nice but it had a lot of algae and no drinks service whatsoever; you’d have to leave the beach and get drinks for yourself. The buffet style restaurant had a lot and varied dishes for breakfast and lunch but it was the same dishes every day; we stayed 5 days and by the 4th day we were pretty much over that food. I’d still recommend RIU Palace Bávaro and I’ll definitely come back to Punta Cana but I’ll stay at a different RIU, perhaps the Macao

The staff is extremely friendly and made us feel special. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi isn't great, but there's also no good reception for using my phone's internet. The food is very good, and the parties are a lot of fun.

I was not satisfied with the meals because they were not available all day when one was hungry. The room's TV had issues the entire trip. Even though we were compensated in another way, I was not happy with that. Karisma was the company that wanted us to join and kept insisting, and the representative was annoyed that we wouldn't join.
