I had a 10/10 experience there at Lopesan for my 25th birthday! I couldn’t have asked for a better time!! The staff was amazing, the views were gorgeous, the culture is incredible. Only thing to note is the food is like 7/10 but I didn’t go for the food lol.

This resort is off the hook ! Absolutely enjoyed everything about it. A lot of options for the food, amazing atmosphere, excellent staff. So many things to do on the resort, great excursions. Granted you might not even have to leave the resort because there’s so many things to do in the resort. I’ve been trying to travel to different islands but this resort makes me want to come back. 10000/10 you won’t regret it.

The property is beautiful, plants and pools are clean and well maintained. The buffet is ok, not everything is labeled and when you ask the staff they don’t know what it is. We only got to try two restaurants and they were both great, even the staff was great. Just be prepared bc Some staff members can be rude. That was a bit disappointing.

Excellent, just came back yesterday the only thing I didn’t like was that kids cannot eat at the Restaurant el Asador. The rest the hotel is really a 5 star in all aspects, the rooms are clean, and well maintain, the animation and activities by the pool, the food is amazing in all restaurants and buffets, the first 2 days you will never find a reservation for the restaurants, but after that at 1200 am, you log in on the app and find it, that’s how I was able to make a reservation. For sure I will return next year and I will recommend it to all my family and friends. 100%.

The resort was beautiful, entertaining was amazing and the staff went beyond my expectations. I didn't like that my kids room had roaches. When I report it I was told they could not changed the room, but would exterminate. There were still roaches in the room the night prior to check out. For some reason my son's bedding were and he was unable to sleep on the his bed. I emailed the resort about my concern but I have not heard back from them.

Beautiful resort, convenient location, but disappointing service. The main issue was a language barrier and poor communication. When my room lost power on day two, I was hung up on three times by front desk staff and eventually had to go down to the lobby myself to resolve it. Despite this, Wanderson and Nestor from the hospitality team were absolute stars! They went above and beyond while we explored the bars and restaurants, making my sister's bachelorette weekend unforgettable. If management invests in higher quality staff training, the overall guest experience would improve drastically.

Brought my teenage daughters here for their birthday. While this is a very beautiful and well maintained resort. So many pools. My biggest issue was food. The worse food I’ve had at any resort. The buffet and breakfast was horrible. The other restaurants have either certain days they open or reservations only. Was unable to get a reservation because everything we tried to book was fully booked. How no reservations and we pay for all inclusive is beyond me. I paid for an ocean view room and was so far back that I was only able to see the tropical view. The service was good. The ppl was helpful and nice. The food was my only issue. We basically ate fruit only. They should look into hiring new buffet chefs because the buffet is normally my safe option for every resort I’ve stayed at. Also way too much pork.

I recently stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro, and while the resort has many beautiful features, the overall experience did not justify the price. First, I want to recognize **Luis Santana from the VIP Lounge**. He provided exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about helping us. Whenever we had a concern, he listened, found solutions, and made us feel valued. He was, without question, the highlight of our stay. The resort itself is stunning. The grounds are immaculate, the pools are beautiful, and the rooms are modern and visually impressive. Unfortunately, the service throughout the rest of the resort was disappointing. Many employees were dismissive and rude, often making us feel like they didn’t care about the guest experience. Hospitality should make guests feel welcomed, and that was largely missing. The food was below expectations for a luxury all-inclusive resort. The alcohol served was also very low quality. Although the rooms are beautiful, the linens smelled terrible, and I had to request that all the bedding be changed more than once. Overall, I give Lopesan Costa Bávaro 3 out of 5 stars. Luis Santana deserves special recognition for his outstanding service, but the lack of hospitality, poor food and drinks, and cleanliness issues made this resort feel overpriced for what it offers. I expected a much better experience for the cost.

From the pool, to the water part and slides, the kids were always entertained. multiple restaurants and buffet and a 24 hours american restautant. - Service was terrible, the staff seemes to not care about the guest satisfaction. multiple times we order somthing and it never arrives. pool service is terrible, especially on the main pool where there is no swim up bar, so you had go to the bar everytime since the pool service only showed up one a day and if you are lucky they will take your order and actually bring it to you. there is a huge language barrier and the staff didnt mke any effort to understand us. they will just do what they are trained to do. - Several times we order drinks for the kids with no alcohol, but they still bring it with alcohol and we had to send it back. - the food was OK at best. the italian and mexican restaurant were good, but everythign else was just OK. - Service and hospitality is not good there at all. the staff seemed to not want to work or do anything. they were always on their phones even the life guards, and I mean standing in the walk ways scrolling all the time. - Room service was good and fast. front desk didnt explain anything about the app and the reservation process, we had to figuer it out on our own. - If you speak spanish you will be ok, but if you are an American who only speaks english, you will have a hard time at that resort. Try to avoid it.

The property was very beautiful and very scenic. My only criticism is the mildew smells in the rooms and the dampness which caused the sheets to feel wet. Also, the female worker Anasoto was extremely rude to guests as the Mexican restaurant. Everyone else was nice. Way too many kids at the Sport Bar. The pools, activities and outdoor entertainment was nice.

The hotel is excellent. You can also visit the neighboring hotel, which has beautiful cenote-style pools. The service is outstanding, and the restaurants are very good. The only one we didn’t enjoy was the Italian restaurant; all the others were great. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for a family vacation with kids.

Lopesan was one of the best all-inclusive family resorts I have ever stayed at. Pros: It had so many amenities! It was easy to get advanced al a carte restaurant reservations starting the 2nd day we were there (we were able to go to all of them during our 1 week stay and there was 10 of us). Restaurant service was stellar in all of the al a carte restaurants. The staff did a great job with entertainment. In fact the theater shows were the most well-done I've ever seen at a resort (it gave Vegas-style; the Michael Jackson show was my fav). Even the poolside games and entertainment were great. Lopesan went above and beyond to be truly an all-inclusive. They have a casino, nightclub, Escape room, teen club, kids club, separate bowling alley and arcade, various shops, onsite medical care and a pharmacy. Plus, it is so large, I never felt overwhelmed by crowds or too many people in one place. The beach was nice. While there was a lot of seaweed given the time we visited, the staff cleaned it out and we were able to enjoy the beach for a few days. We had a few minor issues with our room that was fixed right away, and received treats (fruit plate and champagne) for our inconvenience. Staff was very attentive to make sure issues were resolved! Cons: These are minor compared to all of the pros: The buffets were good and had a variety of options, but could get very busy close to the end of breakfast. Plates could be hard to come by. I only saw this at breakfast. Worth it!
