The resort grounds are beautiful. The rooms were OK (we were not there to hang out in the room so we didn't need much). The "mini-bar" was maintained daily. The in-room coffee service consists of Nespresso style pod system and is very noisy. I'm sure our neighbors in the next room did not appreciate us early-risers making java at 6:30 am to enjoy while watching the sunrise from our ocean view balcony. We had seen reviews indicating the food was not great here at Excellence Punta Cana. We found all the restaurants to be very good overall. The Italian place (Oregano) had a problem getting my wife's order right but this was due to an apparently new server with very nearly non-existent english skills. That was an outlier as we enjoyed all the restaurants very much. Especially Chez Isabelle, the french bistro. Spices Hibachi Grill was fun and very tasty, as well. The Dominican Night festivities on Sunday night featured a buffet that I will remember for a long time. Absolutely delicious! The nightly entertainment featured many of the servers, bartenders and other resort employees doing double-duty as performers putting on themed dancing, singing and comedy acts nightly. We enjoyed all of it. Some of the best music was the live bands that played on the outside stage before the main shows. The best part was just laying out by the pool or beach and listening to the surf. Servers were attentive and delivered whatever we needed. We would welcome another stay here!

Beautiful beach, amazing entertainment at night, great food and lots of options, amazing service, no waiting for dinner, always lots is space on the beach (no need to save a spot). A perfect trip from start to finish!

This was our first trip to Excellence Punta Cana, but it won't be our last! We loved this resort - great pools, wonderful restaurants and bars, and overall SO RELAXING. But what really made our trip outstanding was the wonderful staff at this resort! They really go above and beyond to make sure their guests are welcomed and pampered! I highly recommend upgrading to an Excellence Club room as we LOVED the Magna restaurant and bar. Ask for Jensel or Frank for a server as they were outstanding, Karen the hostess was always so welcoming and accommodating, and Francis at the Club Lounge was fabulous! Also, KARINA at the EC cascade pool bar was SO AMAZING - always remembered what we liked to drink and took such good care of us! We can't wait to return!
