The resort is geared for young single or couple guests. The checkin and checkout staff was very nice and helpful. The layout of the rooms was good. The staff at the beach was great. The food was very good although several of the restaurants featured on website were under repair/remodeling or closed, such as the Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Entertainment was good, but mostly geared for young American guests with lack of Dominican Republic flair.

STAY AWAY FROM BREATHLESS PUNTA CANA AT ALL COSTS!!!! We chose this hotel based on their 5 star review, boy were we thrown in for a disaster. The concierge Carlos was rude to us from the start. There is no entertainment- there is no club although they will tell you it’s an area by the lobby with no fans or air conditioning. The rooms were dirty I got bit by mosquitoes, there were roaches in our room, my husband got food poisoning. No one helped m- thank god I speak the language and called a pharmacy who charged me a lot of money for a medication for his stomach pain. The manager was gone for the shift. I can go on and on and on… just do yourself a favor and don’t go there.

This was a very disappointing resort. The rooms were outdated and shabby. The service was terrible. We spoke and saw our butler once the entire stay and she was hard to get a hold of. The food was below average. The barefoot grill which was the only option near pool had the worst burgers and hot dogs. Nachos were stale and unlimited flies on everything. They didn’t even care to present food nicely. Some Restaurants were closed or relocated to another place which was confusing. It was not anything as advertised. We booked thru Expedia and received a $200 credit to use towards spas, wines, dinners etc. it was only when we got there and received the credits the resort put limits on how to redeem. What’s the point of a credit if we can’t use it all?!? The beach was ok, sun chairs beat up and they would use incense all around beach which smelled so bad. Truly one of the worst resorts I have been to, ever.
