"Good stay"

"We stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions: 2/21-2/23 and 2/28-3/1, that is, before and after our Garden Route Tour and Safari. For our first stay, the staff was kind and accommodating. The night guard recommended an excellent nearby restaurant open late. The devices and power outlets in the room were functional. We ordered an early takeaway breakfast for our road trip, which was made to order, delicious and generously portioned. However, the second stay left much to be desired. The outlets and phone in the room were not working. Since I was sick and needed hot water for tea, soup, etc., my husband had to go downstairs to the lobby 4 times to ask maintenance to reset the circuit every time we tried to boil the water, recharge our mobile phones, etc. In the morning, I discovered that the shower door was broken and could not be closed properly, but not until I was in it and wet. My husband was downstairs and could not help me get out. The floor ended up wet and slippery. At checkout, the lady listened to our complaints, but did not offer even a partial refund. She suggested an upgraded room when we return. I don't think we will be returning. They did store our luggage from the checkout time (11 am) until our departure (6 pm). When my husband returned to pick up the luggage, he requested a bottled water, figuring they could at least give us a free water for the trip to the airport after everything that had transpired. They said they did not provide free water."

"The beds were comfortable. Nice location. TV good. Utensils OK. The upstairs bathroom has such a low water pressure that a shower is not an option. The extractor fan doesn’t work so the bathroom has mould. The toilet seat wanders around. The downstairs bathroom door doesn’t close. The ironing board is defective as is the drying rack. The dishwasher racks do not slide so we could only use the bottom shelf. One fan has a faulty connection while another has no plug point in the bedroom. Clearly the owner is an absentee landlord relying on a corporate structure to manage the place. Not impressed! "

"Yes it was a good temperature and clean. Some tiles had fallen off but overall it was great and the hot tub was warm, not hot but I still really enjoyed it. I loved the views and wish I could have been there longer during hotter weather to enjoy it more! "

"The hotel is exceptionally clean. The onsite restaurants are really good. The staff is friendly, sharp and acts with urgency while taking care to notice every small detail that matters. Highly recommend. "
