A fantastic boutique hotel, very secure with gated parking and access, and lovely comfortable rooms.

We had a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is a great place to stay within an easy walk of the V&A Waterfront and all it has to offer. The rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. The Owner (Daniel) and all the staff are really helpful and friendly. Daniel organised a number of trips and taxis for us, all with a really professional company, which were all really good. The Hotel's facilities were great and the pool area was modern and a really relaxing area for chilling out...

Clean rooms with great beds and nice linen. Also good breakfast and lovely staff.

We travelled to Cape Town with my son, daughter and her fiance. We all had king size rooms, two of them had a view of Table Mountain. Found the hotel staff, concierge especially, particularly helpful in arranging trips and advising us of how to get to the various attractions that we wanted to see.

This hotel is located in the city, therefore was close food outlets such as Burger kKng and Mariam's kitchen which serves the local cuisine. There were water restrictions in the city but we were provided with drinking water daily. The hotel was spacious, clean and a pleasure to stay in. The hotel was relatively quiet but also child friendly. Breakfast could have been better in the variety of food offered.

When I saw the design of the room, I was sure it would be noisy: the need was next to the door. In fact, it was very tranquil. The room was large and in great condition. The walk-in shower was vast Service was consistently friendly and helpful Breakfast was amazing: an enormous buffet (with a daily chef’s special) and both waffle and egg stations. I wish there had been more vegan options, though The gym is adequate with a good range of cardio, benches, free weights, exercise balls and...

This is a lovely and stylish accommodation in a good area with various restaurants and bars in walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful, a very basic breakfast is provided, but guest have use of full kitchen facilities to prepare their own meals. I would stay at this or Cape's Finest other properties again.

Initially got given a room that already had someone's belongings in it but then got a room upgrade. Ladies on reception were very helpfull. Decent breakfast. Good location. Shuttle to airport. Finally Mr D's lovely music :o)

When you travel a lot, sometimes your experiences tend to get lost in the fog of it all.... This trip was different for us - and it was entirely the fault of Yves and Valerie! While this was our fourth trip to Cape Town, it was the first time we felt like we were coming home. Carmichael is much better than just a guesthouse - it is a local home away from home. The facilities, the rooms and the breakfasts were of course outstanding. But rarely do you find such a warm and welcoming environment....

Amazing hotel and staff

A fabulous small boutique hotel 20 mins from city centre. Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic restaurant with stunning tasting menu experience and wine list. We can highly recommend as an alternative to the city centre option

Fantastic stay from all points of view -I wish we stayed longer. The house, the hosts, the location - everything was perfect. I highly recommend Bentley’s guesthouse, we are considering returning. Thank you Adam

Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must. This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it.

I was delighted when I arrived at Ocean View House. Everything, from the drive in to the room and hotel facilities, was lovely and far exceeded my expectations. I was very sorry to be staying for only one night at the end of my 3 weeks in South Africa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome and special as one of their guests. The room was enormous with a large bed and comfortable lounge area - and there was a 2nd room too! Breakfast and lunch very good quality and...
