"Stayed the night on route to Birmingham airport. Ideal location just off the motorway. Clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice. Full English and continental available. Free parking is great."

"The whole stay was underwhelming -Poor check-in experience -Spa very average ok massage but no way is the price justified I booked for our anniversary not worrying about the price thought it would be special it wasn’t had a better massage at local Thai shop for £60 - Bar poor choice beers local unheard of stuff tasted of nothing want him and tonic expected at least a final 5 Star hotel to have good tonic ie fevertree or Schweppes nope some london essence stuff nothing like tonic water -Food for lunch little choice ended up with flat bread which could have been frozen from a supermarket so poor was quality - Dinner even worse a real lack of choice ended up with pasta dish which had very little taste - Breakfast was worse why is 5 star hotel doing Buffett cold overcooked food and since when does English breakfast only have American style streaky bacon ?? Coffee was tasteless and I ran out of patience waiting for my toast to cook - The best part was the doorman welcome and departure nice experience I guess from that you’ll gather I won’t be back to any Fairmont forever in my mind as overpriced for average experience "

"The room was spacious but very drab, bathroom wasn’t cleaned especially the toilet from the previous guests. Shower lacked any type of power and the cold tap on the sink didn’t work. Parking was the only thing that made me give this review 2 stars, as we managed to park directly adjacent to the room since we came by motorbike. Expedia provides an option to pay for breakfast as an extra, however the hotel DO NOT do breakfast - we had to communicate with reception this dispute and Expedia directly to resolve the issue."

"Provided a good clean en suite room and good breakfast at a very reasonable rate. The hotel needs updating and the leisure facilities were closed but I was there on business and they provided everything I needed within my budget."

"Mattresses felt like sleeping on a hard counter top....Remmote was missing but was replaced in time. Spiders in the room. Breakfast was good."

"From arrival to departure everything was perfect. Reception were great, checkin was smooth, we parked in the hotel multi storey, the rooms were lovely and comfortable especially the bed. We had a delicious breakfast. Will definitely use again."

"A very poor experience. None of the rooms had working air conditioning, which appeared to be centrally switched off, and despite raising it multiple times, nothing was done. Offering two glasses of wine for 11 people felt completely inadequate. One room (226) was in an unacceptable state — wet bed, hairs in the bathroom, urine on the toilet, dirty surfaces and no bin liners. It was reported at 6:30pm and not partially addressed until after midnight, which is unacceptable. The only gesture offered was a Baileys, which was frankly insulting. Two rooms were next to a delivery bay, and with no air con the windows had to stay open, meaning guests were woken around 4am by deliveries. When I asked to speak to the duty manager the next morning, I was told they refused to come out. We were only offered 30% off two rooms, despite all six being affected. A formal complaint has since received no response at all, and as this appears to be an IHG franchise, there seems to be no accountability from IHG either. Overall, a very disappointing stay well below expected standards."

"Mixed Experience – Great Location but Hygiene Needs Improve The hotel is very well located, which made getting around quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout the stay, which we appreciated. However, the overall hygiene standards, particularly in the toilet, were below expectations. Additionally, the carpets in the reception area and corridors were quite old and had an unpleasant smell, which affected the overall experience. With some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, this hotel could be a much better place to stay "
