"The Gold Star is a good place for one night. Is not the greatest but for the price of $110.00 it’s not that bad. The bedding and towels looks like it’s years old and dingy. You may want to bring your own. The tub is actually a sono and quite high to get into. This is an old hotel and in need of some serious upgrades. Our room smelled like Indian incense for a room that was supposed to be none smoking. Like I said for the price it’s not the worst for one night. I would not pay anymore than...

"Our experience in Niantic and at the Niantic Inn was great! The owner was very friendly and helpful. There was EVERYTHING you could need provided in the clean and comfortable room, with many extras such as bottles of water and snacks. The location of the hotel was better than we imagined as the owner told us about a lovely and scenic 1 mile walk along the boardwalk along the bay, which started right across the street from the Niantic Inn! . She gave suggestions for coffee shops and anything else...
