"We recently stayed at The Carriage House and had a very nice experience. There was a concern with our first room door, but the gentleman at the front desk handled it immediately and could not have been more professional, kind, and apologetic. He moved us to a new room right away, which was perfect. The continental breakfast was very nice, the staff were pleasant, and the main area was beautifully decorated. The location was also very convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, museums, and other attractions. We appreciated the excellent customer service and would definitely stay again."

"Be aware that housekeeping does not enter your room for any reason (to make your bed, freshen the room, empty your trash) unless specifically requested. This wasn’t mentioned at check-in. Even if you leave towels on the floor as instructed, you still have to notify the front desk if you want fresh towels. The room lacked basic amenities: no iron, ironing board, dresser. You want ice? You are out of luck unless the coffee bar downstairs is open. Our bathroom was tight and in need of maintenance. The wall outlet was loose, the floor needed a deep cleaning, and a couple floor tiles had cracked grout and were lifting up. About 15 minutes after checking in, I found a clearly used drinking glass in the bathroom. I brought it to the front desk and requested a replacement for the next day, but it never happened. Other than the small shelf above the sink, the bathroom has no storage space for toiletries. I was told at check-in that splitting the bill between two cards would be “no problem.” At checkout, I was told “it couldn’t be done.” Customer service was disappointing. The front desk staff seemed indifferent when I raised concerns."

"Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures online look great, but in person of felt like a cheap flip. The walls are paper thin and you could see daylight under the doors, so sound really travels. The only thing clean in the room was fresh bedding and towels. The floor was so dirty my feet were black after a few minutes of walking around and getting settled, there were old contacts left next to the nightstand and dust and hairballs in the corners of the room. The motorized blinds did not work in our room and when we notified staff they came up with some excuse that they were dead and needed to be charged and never followed up. We were on ground level next to the parking lot and entrance to the building so we ended up using pillows to block the outside view into our room. We let the front desk know again of all of these issues when we checked out and during that conversation they did not inform us that they were adding charges to the card on file for daily amenities and miscellaneous other charges, just handed us a paper and that was that."

"Our shower was broken and had to be repaired. We were visiting for a weekend wedding celebration and this made things difficult for being on schedule. Our supplies for toilet paper and tissues was very low. I believe these are essential and should have more than just a half box of tissues and one roll of toilet tissue. The workers were kind and most helpful even though the issues should not have happened."
