"We had to uber everywhere. If you’re going to go on a tour or walk around it would be better to stay near Copacabana beach. Check in is at 3:00, so hopefully your flight doesn’t come in early unless you want to pay more for early check in. The room itself was good. The airconditioning was great. "This is the worst hotel I've even been to (and I do travel a lot). Breakfast was OK and the staff was friendly, but the property is extremely old, dirty, smelly and in horrible condition. The surroundings are just like the hotel, plus a lot of beggars and pick pockets (you should totally avoid staying in the downtown area of Rio)."

"My first room had now AC, i tried sleeping couldn't, but went down to lobby and they were able to place me in a new room that had good AC. The rooms are okay, get what you payed for, I would spend double the money to be near beach now that I know. "

"The Saionara is close to two metro stations and the main bus station. There are eateries and a market very close by. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The shower is excellent. Breakfast is good with all the usual choices. For some reason I was not able to use the internet. I could log on but there was no service which made things a little difficult. "
