"Birthday Weekend Away"
We arrived at the hotel on the Friday evening and were greeted to a warm welcome from the receptionist. Booking in was quick and simple. We had a lovely warm spacious room. We had an evening meal in the restaurant the first night and had a lovely meal. We then retired to the bar where once again the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to Oxford and the surrounding area. With the town centre a short bus or car ride away. After a day in Oxford we choose once again to eat in the hotel restaurant. On retiring to our room we found that the young baby in the room next door was constantly crying, not its fault as the poor child was ill. When we enquired about moving rooms the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. They found us another room, even offering to move our belonging's, without any fuss. Meaning that we were able to enjoy a good night sleep. It is certainly a hotel we will be retuning too.

The room was a little darkly decorationed and the food in the bar was over priced for my palet of taste but it was an overall lovely hotel.

"Quintessential period hotel near town centre"
Fabulous location, wonderfully friendly staff with gorgeous comfortable rooms only let down by the restaurant. Waited a long time between courses, then when food finally arrived it was over cooked and cold, very disappointed as it was a Birthday dinner. Tea making facility's would be nice in the rooms, you shouldn't have to pay for a cup of tea in the morning! Otherwise lovely!

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Oxford. My only criticism was that there was no kettle in the room.Aside from this, it was perfect

"Great Get Away Location"
A really lovely little get away in the Cotswolds with a fantastic view across the valley. Right on a 5 mile circular walk which is easy and enjoyable taking in some wonderful countryside. We will definitely be going back! The welcome and friendliness of the staff was great including Alfie the dog. The food was great also.

"Nice hotel with nice breakfast"
Very nice stay at the head of river. Our room did not have river view but we can access the common balcony on the second floor. The breakfast was really nice~ It's actually very close to the Christ Church Cathedral and the Alice in Wonderland Shop~ And less 20min walk to the train station, 15min taking the bus. I really recommend this hotel.
