A wonderful property up in the valley, when all the day trippers go home you feel like you have the place to yourself

Great stay, staff were incredible, excellent bathing facilities, highly recommend.

Amazing location with magnificent views, service was excellent and very accommodating staff who looked after us well. The dinner and breakfast was quality! Free coffee, wine and desserts at the lobby was a nice touch.

Traditional Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are clean and spacious. Massage chairs are a nice touch—very relaxing and a quiet environment.

I absolutely loved my experience at Taketoritei Maruyama as a solo female traveller. I made sure to booked my stay with half board and was given an 11-course kaiseki meal for dinner with a western breakfast. I enjoying tasting new foods which were presented to perfection. Staff were super welcoming and helpful, they picked me up and dropped me off at the...

Friendly staff great location good food

This was a return journey for us given our first stay in 2023. We ate outside by the river and yet again t was a memorable experience. Great local walks also complement a fantastic environment.

They were very helpful

If you are staying here it is awesome. Might be tricky getting there and getting food if not B&B but the place is amazing. My only downside was in my dietary requirements but the food that i could eat was delicious

All worked well for us

Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was compact but comfortable. I was able to experience many aspects of Japanese culture while I stayed at the hotel which added to my visit. Being able to relax in the hot spring bath each night was the 'icing on the cake'.

Had a great Ryokan and hot springs experience. Arima Onsen is a beautiful place with the hotel located on a small hill

Lovely hotel, excellent service. Only minor issue is that it is a 10-15 min walk up the hill to get there from the bus station. Therefore if you have a problem with walking up the hill then go to the tourist information and kindly ask them to ring the hotel for you and for them to send you a hotel van for pick up.The breakfast and evening dinner were both included in the price and booking and were both delicious and of good portion size. The ones were relaxing and overall highly recommended....
