I had a pleasant stay at the Westgate. The room was very fresh and the view was decent. It is near a lot of local places. Times square is a short walk away. If you do not want to walk there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly.

The location is fantastic. The hotel itself is nice, our room was spacious and clean. The only negative point was the sofa bed which featured a thin mattress, not very flat and quite noisy.

This location is outstanding for the times when I need to be at the UN, espeically since I ususally come to NY via Grand Central. The decor is cool, the first floor is comfortable and welcoming, and the staff is EXCELLENT. That said, my room was ideal. It was hard to find the light in the dark, I heard every single sniffle and squeak from the room next door, the AC unit was like an airplane engine, and it not particularly clean (it was dusty and someone's leftovers were in the refrigerator). I will consider staying again because of the staff and the location, but I will be very specific about my room assigment if I do so.
