Ok so this hotel has pros and cons, as most do. First, the location is great, right next to Penn Station and Madison Square Gardens. We found it quiet enough in the rooms. A/C was loud but worked really well. 3 restaurants including a diner where food was nice and simple, think wings, burgers, blts, etc. Staff were friendly. Beds and pillows wete fantastic ! All 5 of us agreed. CONS. No coffee station in room , no safe, no mini fridge. And they charged a facility fee of 30 US a night, which is totally unwarranted especially as there were no facilities unless you count a gym, but really? And the hotel is now very dated (rooms) and needs a good lick of paint and general tlc. Remove the silly charge, add in a coffee maker and minifridge and this place wpuld be great

Excellent location, centralized. Good service. Clean facilities. Some noice from workers on door-to-door rooms early in the morning. Reported but it happened a couple of times after. Other than that, any ways I recommend it if you want to explore Manhattan.

The key only would work once. Some never worked. I had to go to the front desk every time to get a new key (rm 3514) The first room they put me in was on the 22nd floor which literally had 2 piles of dirt by the elevators. I did get a room change and that room on floor 35 was lovely. The phone however didn’t work. The safe needed a new battery to work- basically the hotel is dirty (old carpets and baseboards need painting )- and Wyndom should have funds to clean them.. the rooms are not cheap. The restaurant was terrific and the entire staff were fabulous- good, hard working people- very kind. The hotel itself needs some TLC.

We had a friendly experience the front desk upon check-in. Was disappointed there is a bag fee to hold bags prior to hotel room check-in (guess this is standard NYC procedure). The room was clean. Bathroom is small. Felt safe and beds are comfortable. It is loud around the hotel and you will hear the NYC noise pollution. Great proximity to Penn Station and MSG. It isn't a new hotel and it isn't fancy by any means, but it meets the standard of a safe and clean hotel.

Property is old and definitely needs a make over . The building is conveniently located across from Penn Station . Unfortunately the hotel can’t do anything about the crowd hanging on its vicinity.

The location was great. The hotel is old, small rooms, dirty, old bathroom, no refrigerator or coffee maker, no complimentary water. They need to renovate all rooms. Don’t stay here! I have stayed in better hotels in Manhattan, at better prices, facilities and close to everything.

Beautiful locations, we didn’t like no fridge , no coffee machine. The water in the shower kept dripping, we couldn’t do anything. I told them about it. Didn’t get fix. The cleaning staff is excellent housekeeping is fantastic.

We love historic hotels and the "NEW YORKER" sign was the only one in Manhattan visible from NJ when I was growing up in the 1960s. It's been marvelously restored and was comfortable with all the services one might have expected in the 40's or 50's. But it is midtown Manhattan, noisy and crowded, definitely the 'city that never sleeps." We would stay again!

I like position of the hotel. Very close to city centre. But rooms and building are little old and look old. What I did not like at all was shower at the hotel room: whater could not be adjusted to right temperature, it did swith from very hot to very cold. No way in the middle.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. It is conveniently close to Penn station and there are a variety of subway stops. I still don’t understand why there is a resort fee when my family and I didn’t get a resort experience. They offer the bare minimum, not even complimentary water or coffee in your room. The rooms seem like they were left in 1992 and are in desperate need of a renovation. This is not the place to stay beyond 2 nights.

The room was very small and the view was the other side of the building. The bathroom was clean with thick towels. The shower pressure was great with endless hot water. The hallway carpet was dull and dark as well as the carpet in the hotel room. The TV was the left of the bed instead of directly in front of the bed. The mattress was a bit lumpy. I could hear the noise from the street at night on the 26th floor. The location is excellent near Macy's and other retail stores plus the 34th street bus line, subways 1,2,3, A, C, 7, and Amtrak. Customer service staff Hilary was so accommodating, helpful, welcoming, and made checking in a breeze especially since I was tired. The restaurants are good but pricey. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to NYC.

The space is very small. There’s some basic amenities missing that would be available in any hotel is say, Japan. The towels had holes and rust stains. It’s just super outdated. Otherwise, the location is outstanding.

The bathroom had no soap.I went to the desk to get some and was told the staff would bring it to my room I explained I had Parkinson's and wanted to take my medicine and go to sleep not wait for a staff member to bring it to the room.Understanding that the soap was in another room I got veryinsistent and told the person at the desk I would not leave until I received it After 15 minutes,it finally appeared.The women at the desk got me so frustrated I had to yell This is mediocre customer service.

Location is great if you are coming in from the train and very easy to get to many locations from the area. It is very outdated, rooms are very cramped, and you can hear everything going on from the rooms next to you, from when they shower, use the bathroom, just moving around. Not sure if I would stay there again with the price paid and the fees paid at the hotel.
