Great hotel in Musselburgh, close to Joppa and Portobello beach. Lovely staff and great breakfast Busy pub serving meals Booked double room and was allocated huge family room, toiletries included with tea and coffee facilities Bus stop outside takes about 30 minutes to Waverley Station Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming. You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory. Thank you !

We had a great stay. The staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, the food was good, and it was very peaceful. It's a £10 cab ride to get anywhere though, so keep that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you and you're not driving (they always came quickly though).

Adored the lady that checked us in, who assisted us at a later point throughout our stay. The hotel was lovely, clean and warm. The swimming pool was a little cold at first but not too much of a problem. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was phenomenal, with a continental bar to help yourself to. I highly recommend the eggs benedict! A slight issue with a female member of staff on the hotel bar on our second time in there who had rudely stated that our first time wasn't paid for,...

Great central location. Steps away from the Royal Mile. Central yet peaceful nights sleep. Lift. Spacious.

We stayed in the lodge. Everything was very nice. Room was nice and tidy. Really appreciated the lovely sherry after a 4 hour drive. Bed was comfortable. The cooked to order breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Hotel location is very convenient to getting into town centre. You can catch a but right outside the hotel and buses run regularly until very late. Wold definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Set in a beautiful part of Edinburgh, the hotel is decorated stylishly with an eclectic mix of art and fixtures. The staff are friendly, the room was lovely with a pretty view across the back gardens of buildings on the row. Breakfast was amazing and the service was excellent. I'd definately recommend this hotel and will certainly be back.

Even before arrival Hilary couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We were able to check in a little early without any difficulties. The building was beautiful and the lovely open fire with complementary wine in the lounge was so relaxing. We stayed in the regent room which was really cosy with a huge comfortable bed. Excellent location in Morningside close to Pubs/Restaurants so no need to worry that food is not served on the premises. The rooms are beautiful and cater for all your needs, definitely a warm and luxurious feel to them. The owners have provided a ‘snack room’ for guests which is a simple but genius move on their part which has biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks, water and milk (to name a few) which is part of your price. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my 2nd visit to the Scotsman Hotel. This time my wife was booked for 3 nights with her elderly mother. The room was spacious, very quiet and the view onto Princes Street was breathtaking. We stayed with our 2 boys 6&9 for a city trip in the 24 Royal Terrace. Everything was excellent, great art, very nice staff and they do all time their best to make your life easy. For my older son the best chocolate he ever had 😊. A very nice whiskey collection. Wonderful stylish hotel just opened so very clean and fresh. My room was an apartment with kitchenette (I don't think there is a dining room), high quality spacious bathroom and very high speed WiFi. Staff pleasant, location central and good bar/cafe area. I wanted to stay longer and will definitely stay next time.

My son and his partner found this to be a very welcoming place and they really enjoyed their stay. My son was wished a Happy Birthday and their room was lovely. They loved the Breakfasts and enjoyed the facilities. I expect they will return in the future. Thank you
