5/5 - Excellent
Known as The Honest Town, clean, historic, friendly locals and a lovely harbour area.

Room was very good - clean and spacious and it was good to have a bath in the ensuite and not just a shower. All the staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. A nice touch was the provision of mulled wine and mince pies each evening

Great location for 1/2 the price of other hotels, you have to walk a block to get to old town but totally reasonable

The apartment was very clean, modern, and cozy. The location is excellent, at the end of the Royal Mile, very close to the Waverley Station. There are restaurants, pharmacies, and grocery stores very close. The breakfast was good. Overall was a great experience, we enjoyed our stay and we would love ...

Nice town, reasonable amount of shops and lovely river walks
There is an ice cream shop in town centre always busy, well worth a visit.
There is no taxi rank at the train station. 3min walk to a bus stop which took us straight into town outside the hotel in no more than 10 minutes. Local couple helped with bus and driver was amazing. Went into Edinburgh by cab approx £20
