"We got lucky and found a street parking spot right in front of the property. Once we arrived there was no one there and we couldn’t find our room. We had to call the emergency number and after about 10 minutes on the call with them, we found it. It would be nice if they put clear markers for all rooms. We were facing to road and an ally so we opened our windows to let the cool breeze in. The room was perfect! Also, there is an Indian restaurant near by that I would highly recommended!!! "

"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"The property was well kept for the most part. Very convenient to bus lines to Old Town. Area seemed safe to walk around -residential. Water pressure in shower was very light. Not enough to wash long hair. But beds were comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. "

"Super lovely and thoughtful hosts who were quick to respond whenever we had any issues or requests. They were even kind enough to bring a mini fridge up to our room at the last minute to accomodate all the supermarket meal deals we bought :D There were a few wobbly bits in the bathroom like the shower pole and the tap, but everything still works. The beds were immaculate and super comfortable. The location is also really great, only a 20 minute walk to the beach front and Portobello village...

"Great location for exploring Edinburgh, city centre is easily walkable. Arrived late due to transport issues and host was very accommodating. Room was downstairs so no windows, but was clean and a nice place to stay in. Private bathroom wasn’t en suite which wasn’t an issue, but I feel like this could have been made clearer when booking. Other than that, great price for a very convenient location. "

"Pillars house was absolutely incredible! We had never been to Scotland before, and pillars house was the perfect place for us. Not only is it in a gorgeous and accessible area of town, but the host, Craig, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. His knowledge of Edinburgh saved us from wandering around looking for the best eats, in fact right when we arrived he sat us down and wrote us a list and marked a map with his favourite spots. "Stayed in the townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The townhouse was beautiful AND comfortable. The unit had a combo washer/dryer and a full kitchen. One thing to keep in mind, the unit has 3 levels and lots of steps. Local tours meet right outside your windows but it is kind of fun to listen to the stories. The staff was phenomenal. Went above and beyond in helping us celebrate our 30th Anniversary. "
