"Nice location"

"The Drey Hotel was the worst hotel I have stayed in since using Expedia to book my travel. This was my first time traveling outside the country to London, UK, and my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. When I arrived, the concierge informed me that the room I booked online was not the room I would be staying in. They said it was only a “category” room and that I would receive something similar. However, the room they gave me was far from what I had booked. I was later told that the room I reserved had been given to someone who arrived earlier than I did. I explained that I had traveled from the United States and that the time difference made my arrival later. They told me that I would receive the correct room the next day and that the manager would upgrade me in the morning. Unfortunately, no one ever came to follow up. When I went to the front desk to speak with the manager, he told me that he would not be changing my room and that the bunk beds I was given would be sufficient. His response was rude and arrogant. To make matters worse, there was no hot water for the remaining two days of my stay. Overall, the experience was a nightmare. I would like to request a refund due to the poor service and unacceptable conditions. This is my first time writing a review, but I feel it is important to be honest so that others do not experience the same treatment that I did."

"Reception was difficult to find as sign outside pointed towards lifts where only one worked and was very busy/slow. Room was nice but was felt thin so heard lots of noise especially early hours of morning. "

"The room was lovely and clean but some things especially in the bathroom were tired, toilet roll holder was hanging off, the lock on the bathroom door fell off and the painting behind the sink was flaking off. The bed was lovely and clean and comfortable as was the seating area and kitchen. It was disappointing that we were only give 2 coffee pods for 2 of us and we were staying for 2 nights. We did however use the coffee shop downstairs which was lovely but you shouldn’t have to when you pay the price of the room. The rest of the stay was great, it was quiet in a good location"

"Stayed on Friday 13th. Gretted by the staff on arrival, very plesent and even got us into our room early, this was around 12:30pm which was great. The car park is at a reduced rate of £15 instead of the £25 for the day but thats still mad in my opinion. Not great for someone who's paid quite alot to stay at the property overnight. Room was ok, very small, we stayed here over 10 years ago and the rooms were bigger and nicer, this room had a Premier Inn feel to it, which is disappointing considering the hotel has quite a big name in the area, i feel its lost its specialness. Amentities were poor in the room small towels for the floor and only 1 towel for 2 people. Although only a small problem, quite an annoying issue to need to call down and get sorted, aprtically at 6am, we just wnat to shower and crack on with our morning. Ok place, great location, great staff, rooms have taken a turn for the worse in regards to size and just basicness and sadly unlikely to return, partically for the price. "
