Good place for few night no phone in bed room to call down which is kinda annoying you have to go to ground floor each time for help or questions..decent restaurant overall appearance is nice better pillows are needed

Newish property in good condition - Very quirky - just a modular built Lego set devoid of character or any aesthetic which they have tried to correct by providing open loft like space filled with junk! Reception was poor - Significant queues with 2 receptionist - but many many other "crew" standing about doing nothing or chatting about shift patterns or deriding the leadership of the hotel - not very professional. No acknowledgement or eye contact made by any members of staff for fear they would have to attend to you. When finally served - I was asked for ID - this really infuriated me - I am not required by law to carry ID in the UK and why should the MOXY be the first hotel I have ever stayed in to require it? I have pre- paid for the room where my ID is already confirmed through many avenues both by the bank, verified by Expedia and through my BonVoy membership. My details were taken form my ID which I reluctantly handed over and further private information was taken from it which I am sure violates GDPR rules! THe member of staff dismissive and totally devoid of any ability to respond when I challenged my further ID was required. No reference to or assistance sought from senior management to clarify why my ID was required. Room was basic - only 2 cheap hollow fibre pillows and duvet - of poor quality. pillows caused excessive sweating and were so poor that they caused neck pain and numbness in my hands through the night. No more room for feedback!

I was arriving quite late at night with two young children I knew would be sleeping so I asked them to prepare my family room five hours prior to arrival (even though I should not have to do this) which they agreed to. On arrival, the room was not prepared, the fold out bed was broken and we had to change rooms ultimately waking up my children. The room we were moved to must have been near the main pipes as we could hear every flush start to absolute finish - very loudly throughout the night, also waking up my children. To make matters worse, the curtains did not close properly meaning first light shone through the windows and once again my children were woken. The foldout bed was terribly uncomfortable and all of this meant we did not feel well prepared for our flight the next day. Money completely wasted in my opinion. I’ve emailed the crew almost a week ago and still no response. Absolute shambles. Avoid if you want a proper nights sleep.
