If you are looking for a cheap hotel in Jomtien.. don't book this one. It aweful.
Sitting just a few kilometres away from the rowdy Pattaya area, Jomtien Beach boasts a six-kilometre stretch of beach and a much more tranquil atmosphere than its neighbour. It is a popular area for tourists, permanent expats and wealthy Thais who have a second home, attracting singles, couples and families. Jomtien Beach offers a leisurely stretch of beach, cultural sights and plenty of amenities.Don’t Miss
There is not much to see in Jomtien Beach, with its beachfront activities being the biggest draw. Scuba diving, windsurfing, kiteboarding, jet skiing, sailing, parasailing and yachting are all offered here.
If you want to get off of the beach and out of the water visit: Wat
Yansangwararam, Nong Nooch Gardens, Khao Chi Chan (Buddha Hill), Underwater World and the Viharn Sien cultural museum. There are also plenty of land activities to enjoy in Jomtien Beach, like golf, archery, horseback riding, bungee jumping and bowling.Restaurants and Bars
Jomtien Beach is home to some extremely fine restaurants with extensive wine cellars and well-known chefs. There are also a few less expensive Thai restaurants both on Jomtien Beach Road and Thappraya Road, as well as on the smaller streets that run between them. Drinking is less expensive here than in neighbouring Pattaya or even Bangkok as most of the clientele are residents, with Thappraya Road being the liveliest strip. Those that are looking for a more exciting nightlife experience can easily get a bus or taxi to Pattaya.Shopping
Perhaps the best and most interesting place to shop for souvenirs in Jomtien Beach is at the Pattaya Floating Market, though some of the best bargains are found at the Thepprasit Night Market. The French-inspired Mimosa offers a more upmarket place for picking up unique souvenirs, clothing and handicrafts. You can also shop at high street shops at the Outlet Shopping Mall or The Village.
