"We had the best honeymoon here! Everyone is so nice and all knew our names! We felt like celebrities lol. I didn’t tell them my husband’s bday was going to happen, but they knew. They went above and beyond to celebrate him and make us feel special the whole time. They decorated our villa on his bday, brought us breakfast on our patio, brought us multiple cakes and desserts, and gifted him with a honorary sarong. We felt that was so accepting of us into their culture. Our butler, Jay, was the best. Anything he noticed we liked, he made sure we had it stocked. Our villa was beautiful and I loved the private pool! The restaurants would notice we like a certain food, snack or drink and would always have it ready for us. They were all so warm and welcoming. From the groundskeeper, to hostess, to waiter, to pool guy, and the whole staff, they made us feel like we could live there. Easy beach access, quiet, dinner on the beach every night, and the deals we received were unbeatable. We would absolutely come back here. We tipped everyone, as we are American, and they were beyond grateful. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, part of the family and that we were special “VIP” without the VIP price. Best two weeks to spend with the love of my life. Not too far from airport, but kind of far from most the island. Food was good. We thought we would have to venture out, but what they offered in fresh seafood, signature dishes, & Balinese style food hit the spot."

"I wouldn’t call it a five star hotel, it’s four at best. We went in low season and the place felt crowded, I can only imagine the chaos it would be during high season.’Food at the breakfast buffet was ok, food at the restaurant was expensive for what it was. The pool area was super tired and needs some money spent on it to bring it up to specification. All in all, an ok resort but I won’t be back. I think there are better places to stay!"

La Joya Balangan Resort

"A quiet and affordable resort, which is out of the way, remote and about a 45 minute ride from Denpasar Airport (expect traffic delays to and from the resort). The resort is perched high on a cliff face overlooking the beach which is ~100m below. Access to the beach is via a steep stairway, no handrails, ~80 steps from the cliff top to the beach. There are plenty of warungs along the beach. Be mindful, after a few beers and a meal you will have to navigate back up the stairs or walk up a reasonably steep incline road to get back to the resort. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. No TV. WiFi was very good, fast and reliable. Restaurant meals were very tasty, full sized portions yet marginally pricey when compared with neighbouring resort menus. There are two pools, with plenty of deck chairs and lounges. Staff were exceptional, very professional, polite and courteous. I would stay there again, no longer than a few days because of its remoteness from shops, restaurants, and easy beach access. If your a fan of Legion, Kuta, Sanur areas and nearby activities, La Joya Resort is not for you."

"The ambience of the resort is authenticity Balinese, with lovely gardens. The pool is nice, but the change rooms next to it aren't. The beach is so close, with lounges for free for guests. The restaurant is nice except the ceiling has water damage. The food wasn't great - for example, the croissant and Danish pastry at breakfast were stale. Same with the toasted tuna sandwich at lunch. However the Mie Goreng for dinner was nice."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran and truly enjoyed every part of our experience! Everything was excellent — the rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service throughout the entire hotel was outstanding. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and professional. Every request we had was taken care of almost immediately, which really made us feel well looked after throughout our stay. A very special thank you to Erika, who took care of us during our stay. She was incredibly attentive, kind, responsive, and genuinely caring. She always made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her warm personality and exceptional level of service made our experience even more memorable. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again. We highly recommend Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran to couples, families, and anyone looking for a beautiful hotel with excellent service and wonderful hospitality in Bali. Thank you to Erika and the entire team for making our stay so special!"

"The room was absolutely gorgeous and so romantic. Everything was so high quality and sustainable and locally sourced. The staff were incredible! So friendly and so helpful. The food was out of this world. The view by the pool was amazing. Absolutely loved this place… wish we could stay here again. Also the secret beach right next to the hotel was our favorite beach in Bali. The food at the restaurant was the best… we didn’t realize they served dinner initially and I had my birthday dinner at a different highly rated nearby restaurant and it was … not good. The food here was fantastic every time. I can’t rave enough about the bathroom … so gorgeous."
