Esqina Cosmopolitan Lodge

"Location of this property was excellent! It is just under Castelo Sao Jorge, and there is a grocery store Pingo Doce across the way which has an ELEVATOR to go into the area of the Castelo. If you take the elevator to the 7th floor there is a beautiful view of the city/water. There is also bar to sit and have drinks while watching sunset. Take this elevator to the BEST hidden gem for dinner, CHAPITO A MESA. If you sit in the ‘panoramic seating’ you can watch the sunset through the windows of this charming restaurant with excellent food and drinks! We loved it so much we went back twice. Hotel is also within walking distance to everything. At the bottom of the hill one way, you can catch the bus which takes you to the start of the famous Trolley 28. Be the first to get on and snag a seat! We rode it straight through to end and then jumped on the return trolley back. Great way to see the different city neighborhoods. Go to end of the street in other direction (toward the water), the bus straight to Belem (Geronimos Monastery) is right there. Hotel room was very clean with comfortable bed. It is basic, but it was safe and comfortable. Our view was stunning! Also our stay came with breakfast which we used only a couple days as we were out and about before it opened at 8am, but it was excellent. Array of breads, cheeses, pastries, quiche, fruits, coffee/juices. You can also order made to order eggs, omelets etc from extra menu as well. This place was an excellent choice!"

"Nice location - it was easy to take the metro red line from Oriente rail station and to the airport, and a bus to the waterfront. Big grocery across the street and the huge El Corte Ingles department store is close by. Very clean, modern room and easy check in and out. We enjoyed it!"

"A perfect place to spend a week after a fabulous walk on the Camino with my wife. Step out the door and you can immediately enjoy the busy scene near the water, and walk to many other attractions, restaurants, shops, and music. In spite of this, our room was insulated from the noise and was a great place to come back to as a break before an evening meal. The staff was great -- always polite and attentive, usually humorous and engaging, and genuinely wanting to help with anything to make the guest happy. In the lobby there was always a supply of infused ice water, fruit and pastries, and sometimes a glass of sparkling wine. We used the wonderful spa several times, and it was easy to reserve. If you stay here, do not miss the museum with the Roman (and other) ruins."

"The hotel is situated in the beautiful Alfama district. Some might say it’s far away, but the hotel is connected to the train and metro station so it’s easy to get to where you need without climbing a million stairs. The hotel is also very sound proof considering we are just above the railway! We also couldn’t hear any other guests from inside our room which is rare. Great a/c and lovely bed linens made for restful sleeps. Would book again on our next visit to Lisbon."

"This hotel was located in the heart of Lisbon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very early, but they were able to give us the room which was very nice of them. Rooms are very small like most hotels in center of the city in Europe, but location was absolutely amazing. It was very convenient to be able to reach all sightseeing in the center of old city. We can recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in the heart of Lisbon. And also this hotel has great transfer to hotel from airpor.t"
