The facilities of this hotel are very good and the standard of cleanliness is high. It occupies an enviable location on the bank of the Thames adjacent to a lock. It is close to Windsor which is accessible by boat, bus or a short drive. The hotel offers a range of treatments but can be very busy so it is essential to book well in advance. It is worth paying extra for a riverside room unless you are unlucky and are allocated the one room (118) that looks onto a high hedge! The staff were wonderful throughout our short stay and this is one of the main reasons for its high rating. The grounds are very pleasant, the only irritant (for some) might be the incessant sound of traffic crossing a nearby bridge. Despite the traffic, the rooms are quiet, well appointed and have an efficient air conditioning system.
