"What an excellent stay! I must say this place exceeded our expectations. On the surface it looks like one of those comfortable but dull sort of beige country house hotels and we thought it would be grand but it was super. There was actually some joy and edge in the refurbishment so there are some really nice decorative touches. The colour in our room was a deep clay colour and some nice fabrics and furnishings in the bar area too. The food in the bar was fabulous and again far better than expected. Nice friendly staff even though all were teenagers they were sweet and helpful - good to see some holiday jobs! Gardens look gorgeous although we didn’t have time for a walk as we were in the spa. Spa was quite nice too. Not too busy or overbooked. Overall would stay here again. "

"Hotel serves hot breakfast starting at 4am which is really very nice especially in if your flight is early. Restaurant area is also very cozy! They also have a restaurant and bar which is so good to relax in the evening."
