"I had a very nice stay. I'm a little biased as it was my 3r stay there in five years (Coviid stopped two of the years). The staff there has always been very friendly and helpful on pointing out good places to eat or see that are not part of the "touristy" spots. Many of my neighbors took advantage of the cool, lightly breezy weather in the evenings to, sit in the chairs and/or tables out in front of the rooms, to enjoy drinks or snacks."

"This is a LOVELY property on the Kern River. The lodge is meticulously maintained, and the on-site managers are attentive and friendly. We could hear the rushing river from our room. It is close enough to Kernville for dining options. We will always stay here whenever we visit the Kern River area. Reasonable! Clean! Remodeled! Perfect! "

"I loved the old fashioned antiques. I loved the fireplace! It was an old property but I liked how they made it so cozy & warm. We were very comfy but the bed was super old & my back ached. Decorations & quiet & nice location made up for it! I’d stay here again but there was no breakfast & it’s more expensive than usual motels."
