"I recently stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay in Jamaica, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The resort is beautifully located along the northern coast, offering stunning ocean views and lush tropical surroundings.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with smiles and making sure we felt comfortable. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony view of the beach. Although some furniture felt a bit dated, the housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything tidy.
One of the highlights was the variety of dining options. From Jamaican specialties to international cuisine, the food was delicious and the service attentive. I especially enjoyed the themed restaurants, though reservations were sometimes hard to get.
The poolside entertainment was lively and fun, with activities like Zumba and volleyball throughout the day. If you're looking for peace and quiet, though, the music and crowd might be a bit much at times.
The beach area was nice but not ideal for swimming—it’s more of a lagoon-style setup with shallow water. Still, it was perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun.
There were a few hiccups, like slow room service and occasional maintenance issues, but the management was responsive when we raised concerns.

"This property has some ongoing construction where they were noisy early in the morning which is not what we wanted hearing banging on the upper level while trying to relax on vacation. The property photos also made it look like they had beach front access with a sandy beach when in fact that was next doors beach and they only had water access like a patio. The room was well maintained and clean however the doors had huge gaps in the framing and the king bed was 2 twins pushed together which gave you a hard seam down the middle and really thin mattresses which was so uncomfortable and we were in pain every night. The staff were really accommodating and provided us a microwave and mini fridge which were not originally in the room. "
