"This neat, clean and tidy single story motel was a terrific find in Ballina. Well located to the riverfront with coffee shops, restaurants and a Woolies supermarket within a short 5 minutes walk. The best feature of this motel was its common area, containing a fridge, cooktop and microwave with lots of equipment supplied for meal preparation. There was a dining table and lounge area with a large TV and board games- a great idea for families or travellers looking to save some money on entertainment and eating out. There was also a guest laundry and free car parking outside your room. "

"Excellent accommodation, good check-in experience, easy access to “The Terrace Restaurant” from room. The grounds are well presented and provide a peaceful taste of the tropics. The restaurant was pleasant, the meal delightful and substantial. Did not like the “virtual mini-bar bar”. If it’s “order from room service”, then that is what it is, don’t dress it up! It looks like the host cannot trust people with the mini-bar and that means me as a guest, which I find insulting….. Whilst it was a bit cool on this occasion I like a swim before breakfast, the restricted pool hours would deny this to me, and likely many guests, who are not planning on early morning pool games. Other than these minor items we would recommend the Ballina Byron Islander Resort."
