"Got this room for my sister-in-law. Not only did she not feel safe there but the room was dilapidated- the walls had extreme levels of peeling paint and the sheets were heavily stained. She didn’t stay the night and I will be contesting the charges. "

"This hotel is central to everywhere we want to go in SF! Plus, we feel safe in this neighbourhood. We love the atmosphere at Union Square, and BART is close by for our trips out to the suburbs. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean, and our room requests were met 100%. We have stayed at the Handlery many times over the years, and will stay here again! Thank you!"

"The room wasn’t in great shape, but the bed was comfortable and I was able to figure out how to turn the tv on. I just rented a room for the afternoon/evening to relax and shower before a redeye flight, and it was fine for a few hours, but I wouldn’t stay there much longer than that."
