Guest services is excellent. Wahli was the best, very professional and helpful. Common areas and bar gorgeous. Bar had fantastic bourbon and scotch list. Staff was great all around.

The rooms were small and poorly designed. The hotel was dead, but we were put right next to a noisy neighbour, and since the walls are paper thin could hear everything. The front desk staff did not seemed thrilled to be there and we didn't feel like we were coming into a grand property the way you do with a Fairmont or other high end hotel chain.

Great location. Walkable to all manner of shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff. My only complaint was the expense of parking. But to complain about parking in San Francisco is like complaining about the heat in Las Vegas--it ain't going to help.

Front desk screws up rooms (gives room with one bed to 3 people and room with two beds to 2 people), attempts to correct the records (to keep billing straight) fail. When reported to manager, he claims it's our error (as if we can't count members of our own party). Clean but VERY tired building/rooms, especially bathrooms. Beds very good. Awful overpriced drinks and poor service in the bar. This used to be a great hotel, but I would never stay here again.

It was very beautiful. The staff was so nice . It was my birthday and they gave us free drinks at the bar. The bar lounge was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. The location was great for shopping and to start touring San Francisco. I definitely will stay here again.
