Had a pleasant experience at King George. Stayed at the first floor since I have to have AC in my room. Room was clean, organized and spacious. Water pressure was low, but I think that’s an SF/CA mandate. Continental breakfast offered at 7:30am daily. Would be good if it was hot breakfast and offered at 7am instead. I think some of the employees need customer service training. However, kudos to the hotel manager who is super helpful and professional — that made my stay that much more enjoyable.

It’s a very old hotel that has been kept up well. There’s only one elevator, which is for guests and staff….There are three sets of stairs however. It would be nice to have cocktails or happy hour in the bar area in the evening, but as it stands right now, they serve a brief continental breakfast with coffee and tea, which is nice nonetheless.

The hotel was in a central location. It was easy to visit the tourist highlights of San Francisco. There wasn't much in the area of the hotel and the room was definitely older. The ceiling fan raddled alot, which could make it hard to sleep.

Our trip here was so great. Check in was quick and easy, parking garage across the street was convenient, staff was friendly. Our room was small but that’s to be expected in SF and it was clean with very comfortable beds. In union square area so very walkable. My kids favorite part about the hotel was their lounge area that had a pool table which we utilized multiple times. We wil be staying here again for sure 👍

The beds were comfortable. The rooms were small but cozy. The bathroom was very small, but still nice and clean. The area surrounding this property is disturbing.

Good:: The front staff were courteous and helpful Room was clean Beds were nice Fridge was provided for free upon request Character atmosphere Not so good: No AC, don't really need it but if you open the windows you do do hear some street noise Had to ask for some bathroom supplies Breakfast is very rudimentary but we weren't expecting any, so that was ok A single slow tiny elevator

The property is well located and in close proximity to the Powell subway station and cable car stop. Close to shopping and dining options. Union Square is a very short walk away. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean with the bathroom recently renovated. The mattress is unbelievably comfortable. The water dispenser in the lobby and the complementary pastries and coffee in the lobby each morning are nice touches. One drawback was that the hot water in the room was not so hot beginning in the afternoon. Overall, the hotel offers good value for the downtown location and I would stay there again when in San Francisco.
