But if you get up early to marvel at the views of a world UNESCO heritage site your going to be extremely disappointed and annoyed to see a HUGE amount of floating rubbish deposited by boats of all kinds including the boats that brought you there..!! We did see one small boat attempting to clean up some rubbish with a small net with very little impact. Please Vietnam look after your UNESCO site a lot better than you are."

"I did the 1 night cruise and the whole experience was excellent. The administration (Anna) was very friendly and efficient and the logistics for the shuttle were clear. Once on board, the staff were very kind and attentive, the cabin was comfortable and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the excursions, particularly the caves and hiking. "The whole trip was great experience for a two night package to see Ha Long Bay. The Cruise ship was well appointed and a great base to see the UNECO Heritage site. A few small concerns: the beaches we visited had a lot of rubbish, all boats/ships should invite customers to pick-up the rubbish to help preserve this special environment. Also the ship should have videos and other media which better present the site and environmental goals etc., as this was poring covered by staff."

Upon checking in, we were surprised to be asked to pay an additional fee for our 8-year-old daughter who is considered an additional adult rather than a child. Our hotel suite was very nice, fairly new, and had a view of Sun World’s Sun Hills. "The boat is a mid range cruise nothing fancy but still clean and comfortable. The itinerary itself follows the same as every other boat doing these tours. It’s really only 3 activities in 2 days. The 2nd day is a 30 min kayak and then you spend all morning on the boat and waiting at the dock for the return. If you really want to explore Halong bay I wouldn’t recommend this. Also drinks on board are super expensive! "

"This is a beautiful beachfront resort. The view is amazing! If the ocean is rough or not your thing, the pool is also wonderful. It is a very busy place and we found the noise to be a bit much so be prepared for this. We had the buffet breakfast included in our package and the food was good with a nice selection however they tended to run out of items after 8:30 or so.
