Its a great location- easy access both to quieter parts of Venice either north east or across teh canal and west and walking distance to St Marks and the Rialto. The staff were delightful and helpful. We took our disabled son with us and the stafff could not have been kinder to him. The rooms are a great size and all the facilities worked well- including the air conditioning! The breakfast was good and certainly of a standard to match a 4 * hotel. The staff were kind enough to find things for a special diet to eat. We love the upstairs terrace and the bar were kind enough to bring drinks up to us. There is a some re decoration needed ... but it is Venice, it is probably damp in winter and its not my house! We have stayed there before and will certainly do so again

Lovely location away from the crowds but not so far from Rialto etc. Good quality hotel. Very clean!! Cleaner than many other 5 star hotels I've experienced. Some great food places nearby by the canalside too. Especially the restaurant Very Good. With another travel companion, I would have liked to have tried the hotel restaurant. Would certainly stay here again if staying in Carneggio.

The staff is unbelievable with helping with anything like transportation, booking restaurants, making recommendations. Everyone was so kind and the location is the best. Even though it is so close to St Marks, it is super quiet.

We had an excellent stay at Royal San Marco Hotel and were very pleased with the overall experience. The location is outstanding—convenient, central, and perfect for exploring Venice. The staff were welcoming, professional, and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and we appreciated the charm and atmosphere of the property. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would gladly return and recommend Royal San Marco Hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

First of all the location is mere steps from the Piazza San Marco and getting to sit by the window and watch the gondolas and the people going about their day was cute. I love the bottle of champagne that the hotel provided for me and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I didn't take a water taxi to the hotel but I did take one when I transferred to my next place and it's definitely easier than lugging your suitcase through the streets. Drinks at the bar were 10/10 and will definitely be back and stay longer next time!

Our stay at this beautiful hotel in Venice was truly unforgettable. The hotel was stunning, with so much charm and elegance, and every detail made our experience special.
