"The hotel was on the canal which made it easy for water taxi. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and classy although a little small. The location is a 20 minute plus walk to St Marks Square, but that is probably a good thing since it's much quieter here. Close to bridge to train station where Venetian commuters come and go. I would stay again if back in Venice."

"I enjoyed my stay at Splendid at Venice. It was probably the only hotel my family enjoyed in Italy! Super convenient to the main areas in Venice. Staff was super friendly and let us check in early. Also called taxis for us. The hotel also has its own water stop, which is great if you are taxing a water taxi to hotel. "

"We loved our stay here. Nice rooms, nice staff, good location that was not too far from the things we were interested in. Only complaint is that on our last night an alarm in the lobby was going off all night but there was no staff there to silence it, which you could hear a little bit from the room. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"We loved the receptionist! Although her English was not well, she communicated the best she could with us. We got free candy everyday, everything in your mini fridge is FREE! You get natural water, sparkling water, soda, beer and an entire bottle of champagne. The view from our window was stunning. You could see a little bridge and the canal straight from there. We were within 6-7 mins from the train station and areas to take water taxi and water busses. You could also do gandola rides...
