Great hotel with what it effectively its own private beach. The staff were wonderful and so was the food. It really was amazing and we had a great time.
It could be a bit quiet at night and there isn't much else around - although if you walk left along the beach there is a beach shack and another hotel both doing excellent food but at much cheaper rates (and the drinks are much cheaper too). The price of food and drink is extremely expensive by Indian standards, but fairly standard for UK...

Enjoyed the stay . Will go back to the same place.
Nice and a very hospitable bar. Good pool bar. Very courteous and accomadating staff.
Suggestion : book a room on the first floor sea facing. It has doors opening to the lawn and beach pathway. If out of budget, the garden view rooms on the first floor are the same and only a minute's walk to the beach path ( of course no beach view).
Goa Marriott will be by first choice and I recommend it to all.

Stunning location just steps from the beach, super helpful and attentive staff, nice pool area and bar. Honestly would definitely be back! The only thing I would say is that the restaurant could offer more choices or serve different cuisine on different days but we ate at the restaurants on the beach (1 min walk) and it was great! Breakfast was great here

Stayed in this hotel a few times now. As per normal it is excellent. Near enough town if you want a little walk, beach short taxi away. Food in restaurant is amongst the best I have had in a hotel. You must have the Goan food.

Enjoyed our stay. Nothing much in the immediate area. Beach almost deserted. Sunbeds and umbrellas there.
Free shuttle into town every day.
Nice pool. Breakfast good. Restaurant good, Phillip the head waiter very helpful and good English.
Good place to chill out and relax. Nothing hectic here.

I booked this hotel on Expedia and surprisingly found the hotel to exceed on our expectations. Hotel is constructed on more than 100 year old Portuguese building. Food was excellent. Hotel staff was very good and courteous. Ambience of the hotel is very good. Rooms are pool facing. Rooms and washroom are very big in size.

No extra charges we had to pay once booked at expedia. The hotel is less than a year old and everything seems new and clean. Very well furnished and very cozy bed too. We enjoyed all the 4 night stay there. If you are in sea facing rooms you can see the sea and hear the waves all the time. Very less traffic around.
Best to hire a two wheeler to go around, taxi service is very expensive. The restaurant Delhi Darbar is also at the ground floor, which is expensive but good food. Buffet breakfast...

What's Vasco da Gama like for family-friendly holidays?
If you've been thinking about a holiday with your children, Vasco da Gama is a good choice. The beaches, museums and parks are just some of the things that make this the perfect spot for family trips. Fly into Dabolim Airport (GOI), which is the closest airport, or Goa (GOX-New Goa Intl.), which is located 22.9 mi (36.8 km) from the city centre.
When's the best time to book a family-friendly holiday in Vasco da Gama?
The hottest months are usually April and May, with an average temperature of 28°C, while the coldest months are January and February, with an average of 26°C. The rainiest months in Vasco da Gama are July, June, August and September, with each month seeing an average of 806 mm of rainfall.
What's there to see and do with your family in Vasco da Gama?
Mormugao Port and Vasco's Municipal Market are interesting attractions that you and your family may enjoy exploring while you are staying in Vasco da Gama. Make sure that you have lots of time for activities such as Calangute Market and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
What's the best way for us to get around Vasco da Gama?
If you want to explore the larger area, hop on a train at Vasco da Gama Station. Vasco da Gama may not have many public transport options to choose from, so consider a car rental to maximise your time.
