"The whole hotel smells very strongly of cleaning chemicals. The location was not very good and felt unsafe out the front doors. At two separate times in the evening, police were outside dealing with a situation on the street. "

"Fantastic location and wonderful staff! Overall we had a good stay at the Century Plaza hotel. The hotel room was a little older but clean. It had a kitchen, sink, oven, and full fridge. No desk in room. Giant tv and it had all the apps if you want to log into your account. Just remember to log out of your account because it looks like it does not reset. “Dan’s” Netflix account (previous guest) was still logged in. Don’t worry we logged him out. Fridge had some old spills in it that was not cleaned from previous guests. Cupboards and fridge are were a little older. But clean. Bathroom - Personally, I have a thing about bathrooms and the bathroom was a little older, a little in need of repair, and a little gross for me personally - compared to MY PERSONAL bathroom hotel standards. It was a clean bathroom …. just a little old, had some rust and mildew. I just don’t look too closely and I am ok. Pool area was in the basement, not heated, and no hot tub. The showers in the pool area had mildew and mold. But was well stocked with shower need and towels were clean. Kids enjoyed the pool a lot. I did not use the gym this visit but it looked great. Again it was in the basement. I have platinum EXPEDIA status but was not offered an upgrade at all. Parking is great. - if you have a car. A good hotel, and perfect location. I did not mind it because the main purpose was just to sleep in it. We were always out and about during the day. I would stay here again. :) "

"we had a big car and its impossible to park it in their parking. took us fee mins to maneuver at their upper parking as there is not enough space for big cars. when we went to the lower parking we wouldn’t be able nor the car beside us to open doors. we wouldn’t want to hassle the car parked beside so we just decided to pay parking outside"

"Property’s location is very good. It’s well maintained and staff is helpful. Only thing I was not happy about was we had reservation that included breakfast and there was my wife, my 13 year son and me, and they say breakfast was ONLY FOR 2, which means we had to pay extra for son’s breakfast which is not big deal but to me it doesn’t make sense. Anyhow our stay was really pleasant and I we liked it. I gave them high score but they need to work on breakfast deal."

"We booked this as it was close to a squash tournament (2 facilities - its in the middle and close to everything downtown). -Upon entry I was regretting the decision, for $240 a night, the walls entering to the area from the underground parking were filthy. I could have booked many different hotels likely cleaner and safer with better amenities. Kitchen good - had 4 plates/bowls etc. Washroom good - it's a bit small Beds - 2 single beds is a weird setup...and the pullout couch was VERY uncomfortable. -Washer/dryer same machine - worked well! 1902 - SUPER quiet in the hallway - didn't hear anything, but did hear sirens on the street all night. -Outdoor pool - not open. -Elevators were slow and old -Entrance to the parkade,many vagrants in that alley. View - we were on the 19th floor facing the water - view was great The gym, had some good equipment, room was old, and again quite dirty. I felt like I needed to not just disinfect the equipment but also myself after using. ***There are washrooms with a fob on the 3rd floor with the gym, the gym is open 24hrs but the washrooms are not (why not? You need a key to get into both). Overall the place was ok - having extra space was the best part, however I would likely stay elsewhere for better amenities."
