"Pool was very nice and enjoyable "

"We were overall disappointed in our stay and definitely do not consider this a 5 star hotel. Pros: Beautiful grounds, great amenities, friendly staff, lots of activities for kids. Cons: The beds were uncomfortable and pillows smelled terrible. We even swapped the pillows for 4 more but the new ones smelled as well. It made us not want to spend time in our room and caused very poor sleep. The kids club was very simple and did not look appealing on first glance. My kids ended up liking it due to the activities but it was overall lacking. No playground on the grounds. The babysitter situation that they advertise is not a "babysitting service" but is off-duty hotel employees. We were looking forward to using this but ended up not using it as it made us uncomfortable. There were several hours a day where food was not available and happened to occur when my kids and I were really hungry! There is always room service available but options did not look good and the one time we tried to order it they tried to confirm our order about 3 times, over 30 minutes so we ended up cancelling it as we knew it would take at least another 30 minutes to hour to arrive. it would be nice if there was one restaurant or cafe that was open at all hours of the day. Overall, we were disappointed and will not be returning. "

"We had an amazing stay at UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya! From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible and the resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious, the food across the restaurants was consistently delicious, and the whole property had such a relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. A huge shoutout to Luis, our butler, who took such great care of us throughout our stay. He made everything effortless from helping with reservations to checking in and making sure we always had what we needed. His attention to detail really elevated our experience. Also, Eugenio at the pool deserves special recognition! He was the best pool butler always friendly, attentive, and making sure drinks were full and everyone was having a great time. He brought such positive energy to the pool area every day. The staff truly make this resort special. We left feeling relaxed, taken care of, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend UNICO Riviera Maya if you’re looking for great service, great food, and a beautiful place to unwind!"

"Beautiful location and a wonderful resort, but what truly made our trip special was the incredible staff. Daniela and the entire team at the tequila tasting were fantastic—they made the experience both fun and informative. Another highlight was Islas, who picked us up from the TRS lobby in a golf cart. He gave us a mini tour of the resort, pointing out notable locations along the way and even took some wonderful photos of us. What could have been a simple ride back to our villa turned into a truly memorable experience. We also had a couples massage at the spa with Viviana and Beatriz, and they were amazing. The experience was incredibly relaxing, and they were both so warm and hospitable while giving excellent massages. Lastly, our butlers, Jesus and George, were always helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay."
