It is an antique building but well kept. Check in times could be more flexible. All in all it is a very convenient place to stay in midtown Toronto.

The location is great for downtown activities. Do not stay overnight on a Monday. The garbage trucks came through at midnight and one o'clock. The maid left garbage bags and a vacuum cleaner outside our door for 2 days. We could not get the television to work. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

This is a heritage building in the LGBTQ area ("the Village") of Toronto & near a university, so street life is lively & there are great cafes etc. within minutes, plus a sweet pocket park on the same block. Ability to climb stairs essential, and there is no staff around to help with luggage. OTOH, cleaning staff is friendly and do a good job. My room was a tiny single on the lower level, semi-basement, with view of a kind of partition not quite hiding trash cans. But clean, & tiny private bath. It's modest & a little shabby in places, but tastefully decorated and over-all I liked it! Parking is limited; you need to reserve & pay extra for a space, which is behind the house. I'd stay here again.

Convenient downtown location, close to transit, lots of dining options, easy parking. Character building, very secure entry, very responsive service. Lots of TV stations. Good for 3-4 days stay for 2 people. Room could be better set up for coffee maker/kettle near electric outlet. Bathroom is clean but small. Carpet in room needs replacing. Lots of amenities and dishes.

This is a nice place in Toronto for the money. However, please be sure to check your email and/or messages on Expedia. The property did send a message about parking and I didn’t receive it since it was posted to my Expedia. I didn’t have a secured parking spot and had to park elsewhere. The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful in locating other parking options. It is an hour walk from here to downtown (Rogers Centre, CN Tower, etc.)
