"When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. "Let’s get the negatives out of the way - breakfast quality was dubious - not sure how they made scrambled eggs and cramped buffet area. The hotel is, of course, a Victorian railway hotel. The front windows need a clean. This is our second visit. Rooms are good. Would I rush back??? Probably not, but central location is a positive and parking (albeit at cost). The instructions if you are parking a car should be in capitals. THE PARKING ENTRANCE LOOKS LIKE A TAXI/STATION ENTRANCE. If you miss you are doomed to go a very long way round the one way system. It is a bit like landing on a snake that takes you from 97 to 4."
