Song Mountain Resort

You cannot beat the location of this hotel! It’s perfect home base. But be aware it is BASIC. There are literally zero amenities. It’s a place to crash, but you shouldn’t be in the room much in nyc anyway! And when you are, it should be clean and I can attest this hotel was very clean. This hotel is for when your budget is on a budget. But it was great for us and we would stay again.

We were only there for the weekend but we enjoyed our stay the hotel room and staff were excellent. We did have some things to learn such as the keycard controlled the electricity and the breakfast buffet wasn’t free. However, it was very organized on how the got us in and provided the service. My disappointment was I was told they had something for everyone and I am vegan and I was very disappointed. They had nondairy milk, oatmeal, bread and fruit so this is what I had to work with for a $25 meal, Even the shop/cafe in the lobby didn’t have anything so that was disappointing. But all in all it was a great stay.

The hotel was OK, but for the price level it does not hit the four or five star level. The location is the prime attraction here, very much in the center of Midtown near all the major spots. Rooms are very clean. The elevators can be slow. The hot water is good when it comes up to the proper heat level. Sometimes it took a while to get there. There is no place to plug in your electronics on one side of the bed. On the other side there is. They need more plugs, etc. No robes or slippers. No art on the walls of any kind. The coffee on the third floor is a nice amenity, but the milk used in the lattes and cappuccino may seem a bit off. The restaurant on site is very small and it’s a hit or miss proposition when it comes to quality. The staff is good, but does the bare minimum
