Great hotel for families.

4'th hotel on this trip and by far the best. Room much larger than all the others and also a stunning view from the window.

Loved how close to cruise port it was. Staff were super friendly and so helpful and knowledgeable.

Parking is not adequate.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was huge, comfortable and sparkling clean every day. Hotel offers you free toiletries and complementary welcome drinks every day. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing stay in Shonan.

As someone who holds the original Kahala in Honolulu in the highest regard, my expectations for its Yokohama counterpart were, to put it mildly, astronomical. Room was fantastic, the in-room onsen was an amazing bonus. But the view wasn’t really ‘mountain’ - instead it was a giant bush and men doing work. While the hotel is supposed to be in a remote setting, it is a bit inconvenient to get to with a lack of amenities/dining options and no guidance from the hotel. The gym facilities were appalling for a five star hotel.

There is nothing of interest in Yamato for tourists, we were there for family reasons. The hotel is located close to the train station, shops and restaurants. There are two young ladies working on the Reception desk who are really friendly and helpful. The room had all the amenities you need and was clean. The only negative for me was the mattress was hard and slightly uncomfortable.

Very convenient for train and local shops. Just wish they would stop replacing towels and slippers every day!

Where can we start? The food was simply out of this world, both dinner and breakfast. They catered to a vegetarian and were very attentive. The room was amazing, spacious, with all kinds of amenities included, free drinks, tea and coffee, a Bluetooth speaker and of course a private osen on the balcony facing a bamboo forest. Everything was top-notch. We booked the pool/sauna downstairs, and that was fantastic, as well as the gym. We also enjoyed drinks at the bar, including the Japanese whiskey....

After being in Japan for 10days and staying in relatively modern hotels with small rooms, it was delightfully refreshing to be staying in a hotel where room space was more than adequate. Yes, the decor is old fashioned and may appear tired however the surroundings, the staff and the excellent service more than compensate. All staff spoke excellent English and could not do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The "silver" service at breakfast is far above anything I have experienced before...
