Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa

Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa

Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-minamiguchi

Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-minamiguchi

10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is completely set up for tourists without feeling too touristy. The front desk staff were so helpful. The rooms are relatively small (2 twins, but larger than American twins), and there was a balcony (did not use the balcony). The bathroom was a little small and basic, but ok. This is not a luxury hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable and has a friendly vibe. We were 2 travelers with 2 suitcases each, but we made it work. The in-room laundry was excellent - small machine, but all that we needed. There is a cafe next door “Ten Cups” that offers an excellent breakfast and seriously good coffee drinks. We purchased the breakfast ticket through the hotel and received a discount for doing so (fair price.) Location is also very good. Not in the thick of the craziness, but walkable to Shibuya Station. Most folks use the trains there, but we found Uber to be super easy & prices were reasonable. In the lobby there is an automatic espresso maker & water dispenser. Water was great, espresso not so much, but again, good coffee next door. They also have little, complimentary packaged snacks in the lobby, and at check in, they offered a flat iron & curling iron available for loan. Overall, we were very content staying at this location (they have other locations in town). This hotel offered good value for the price, and I would not hesitate to rebook."
