"Great place to stay while visiting Chicago. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great and just a quick walk to the L and the town of Evanston is very walkable. Never felt nervous or unsafe, felt like a college town. We opted to include breakfast which was nice and they had very good bacon. This hotel was older and a bit dated but our room was clean. If we are in the Chicago area again, would definitely look at staying here again."

"Did a turn and burn stay here (checked in Saturday and checked out Monday) and had a pleasant visit. The front desk customer service was A+. My only 2 feedback are: the valet attendant should be more attentive. I waited 10 mins while the valet attendant was chatting away with a co-worker and then started laughing with I assume a customer. I had to politely interrupt to get service. 2nd feedback: I was on the 23rd floor and soon as I stepped off the elevator, the hallway and room had a sour/mildew odor."

"I booked the hotel originally for the location. The building was secure and although the room was small, it was good for my purposes. The building, including the rooms was clean, although there was no fridge available. The lobby bar had great cocktails ,it was a fun place to chill outside of the room."

"The staff at Royal Sonesta made the stay top tier. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great location in River North for exploring downtown on foot. There’s no microwave in the room -only on the first floor which is inconvenient but not worth changing the 5 stars I would give my overall stay"

Lake Michigan and Oak Street Beach are a “stones throw” away. This is one of the Real Classic Hotels. It is a bit dated, yet; all of my needs are met, with awesome beds, crisp clean linens, luggage racks, a safe for your valuables, along with marble bathrooms, really Hot Showers! The staff is always polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious and views can be awesome!😎 As a 25 year Chicagoan, whom no longer lives here, I Love 💕 this place… 👏 👏 👏"
