Great place to stay

"Great little hotel in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview neighborhood. Super convenient and walkable to many places. Staff was terrific - helpful, knowledgeable, polite. There is parking at a discounted rate, but no in/out privileges, so plan accordingly."

Great Value Stay

"Beds had zippered, sealed covers on mattresses! I love not worrying about bugs when traveling. Carpet was old and kinda dirty looking so be sure to bring flip flops or slippers. Did not use the shower but the bathroom was adorable! There were a few hangers and drawer space too The man who checked me into the hotel seemed annoyed while dealing with me but was kind to my friend as she got there before me, not sure the issue there but the morning front desk man was very sweet despite a rude guest before me being abrasive to him. The neighborhood has plenty of traffic sounds but the TV was decent to cover those sounds. The doors have individual deadbolt keys and lock when you exit and even have the chain door lock for while inside the room. The parking is free and my car was untouched all night (you can see the whole parking lot from all the rooms). There are soda vending machines ,though I never tried any. There is also what used to be the breakfast area but not sure what is in that area. Honestly well worth the cost and peculiarities!! Will stay again next time I travel to Chicago for sure~"

"The Old Chicago Inn was perfect for my partner and I. We wanted to stay in and near a few particular points of interest to us and this checked all the boxes. Wonderful staff that never hesitated to handle our out of towner issues. Not a traditional hotel many bedrooms do not have an in bedroom restroom which can be intimidating or embraced. Shared common areas that were truly shared and enabled me to meet a few other vacationers. For my partner and I this is better in many aspects. Things I did not like? We stayed two nights and I would need to really pick things apart to find things I had any real issue with."

"Wonderful accommodations and staff. About 1.5 miles from Wrigley (we walked there), in a great neighborhood that is adjacent to other great neighborhoods, and close to the Montrose Beach. Helpful hint - all the crazy traffic for Wrigley is south of the stadium. Can take public transportation into the Loop but we found plenty in this area to do and see. Old Town School of Folk Music has amazing music in its performance hall nearly every night of the week - it is 1.5 miles away with easy parking in that neighborhood as well. We will be back! "
