Great location and responsive staff. The room was comfortable and convenient except that our bed was rather lumpy. We enjoyed the hotel café service on our first morning, but there was no service the next two days. Of course, there are great dining options just around the corner, including several cafés.

The hotel was centrally located, with quite a bit of dining close by. Room was reasonable size and bathroom absolutely spotless. Hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and made some great dining recommendations. An excellent restaurant around the corner for breakfast that apparently supplies room service but it was a 2 minute walk so we just did that. We walked the neighborhood quite a bit, and never felt unsafe, just as in any fairly large city, one needs to be aware. The folks working in the area said that a lot of businesses had closed due to COVID, but the area is beginning to come back.

I loved the reverence for the old building. Then the modern remodel used excellent materials in a clean uncluttered, low-impact way. The staff was gifted in hospitality. They were kind, considerate, and welcoming.
