Stayed at Pineapple Seattle before. Thought this would be similar quality. This is a rundown property old, grimey, ancient structure. Only writing so others are aware and are not fooled like us. Room smelled disgusting, coffee maker not working, mold and grime in shower. Resort fee $25 for "location". Two free drink coupons that could not be redeemed for espressos when coffee maker did not work. Parking (another $25 extra) is NOT secure. I could go on but this should suffice, treat yourself and stay at the Portland Motel 6.

Right on the waterfront. Nice view from room. Room was clean and furnishing was nice. Staff here is excellent. Very accommodating, friendly and service oriented. Only complaint is the condition of the property (besides the rooms) could use some upgrades.

Our room was nearly 3 hours late getting ready, and even though we paid for parking there was none available Thursday night. Seems like you should only collect money for the spots you have, not more than you can provide.

We were quite happy with the location and helpful service. Both evenings we went for the happy hour at the restaurant and they didn’t charge the happy hour prices, but charged full pricing and we had to ask when we received the bill to have the bill adjusted. The food and drinks were delicious. Our room was quiet and a great size. The building is older and has a number of upgrades but is also one of the cleaner hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. They were very accommodating to all our requests and the free bike rentals were very enjoyable to ride around town. We will be back in the future; even with the elevator breaking down there was clear communication as well as communication once the issue was resolved texted to us so we were aware. A lot of small but nice touches to our stay.

There was a “resort fee” that made no sense. There was no resort attached to the property. There was an extra charge for parking that was reasonable for the area but it is annoying to pay for parking “first come” parking when it is in the basement and there is no valet.

Pros: Staff was great. Amenities were great. Walkability to downtown and park was perfect. Cons: Hotel interior was a bit rundown. Stairwell wasn’t easily accessible from lobby and smelled of urine. Poor planning with fire alarm testing the day after a major concert/music festival. Received a text 45 minutes before alarms were set to go off (7:15) and woke up in a panic after two long days of music/drinking. At minimum we should have been warned the night before, but testing could have been delayed a day when the hotel was at full capacity because of the concert.

Great but one star lost due to the fire alarm ‘test’ going off 3 times on our final morning. We were only given a text notification @6am of that same morning. My wife and I were staying for the Punk in Drublic final tour weekend. The hotel is clean, the staff is polite/helpful. The furniture is a little dated. The mini fridge would not get very cold. Overall, we were happy for the three night stay.

VERY loud concert directly across the street, Fire alarm being tested at 8 am waking us all up, and to top it off, our car was broken into in the parking lot. Staff was fantastic about it, no complaints there, much of this was out of their control. It was our first visit to Portland and we had stayed at a Staypineapple before, so we went with the brand we trusted. Little did we know that downtown Portland is somewhat “gritty” and we would not stay in that area again.

I had no idea what to expect when I booked this hotel as I chose it based on proximity to a show we were going to. But we were blown away by this little Hotel and the staff. Service is amazing, the staff goes over and above to make sure your stay is first class all the way. Comfortable beds and a great shower, restaurant downstairs is great and nice coffee bar for the mornings. If you get a room with a balcony you can see right into waterfront park. Lots of perks of staying here, will definitely book again on my next trip.
