The hotel was very conveniently located and we had an easy time accessing everything in Portland via TriMet. We did have some issues with our a/c (may have been related to the weather), our tv (someone did come up to look at this, but it continued to be a problem that we "solved" by tapping and jiggling cords), and hot water in the shower (just seemed like the hot water ran out?) But, nothing that spoiled our stay.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived to downtown portland at about 11 AM intending to just drop my stuff off but the room was ready and they offered early checkin without me even asking. Just goof friendly folks here and I would definitely return. Downtown portland has been having struggles, but it was apparent here that these folks value their guests and they are great ambassadors for their city.

The customer service was hands down the highlight of my stay. The staff were helpful, welcoming and accomodating. I did not like that there was no restaurant or bar, but there are enough options nearby. Also, the parking downtown is a negative.

Hotel Lucia is a two star property masquerading as a 4 star hotel. There is no restaurant. There is no room service--save delivery from a nearby Italian joint . There is no mini-bar. Your room will not be made up unless you make a special request. They won't tell you this until you complain about your room not being made up, and then it is somehow your fault that you didn't ask for what you would normally expect. The prices are a scam--the low price advertised on Expedia does not include the $58 "resort fee". There is no resort, just the absurd fee. Parking is $55/night. There is a parking lot directly across the street for about half that. The house computer system is weak, and completely crashed when we were there, killing both the wifi and the telephone system. There was no comment, no apology, no amends for the cost of the game we were playing which crashed. The bathtubs have no safety mats, and there is no non-slip coating. Taking a shower is a life threatening affair. Water pressure sucks and the spray is inadequate. The towels were decent. Hotel Lucia offers a "free drink" in the lobby from 5 to 6. Free if you want a soft drink or a beer. A *can* of dreadful white wine was $8. Basically, Hotel Lucia is a Motel 6 with nice photos on the walls.

Loved the artwork all over the property as well as the arcade games. The Tivoli radio in the room was great to play some background music. Late night front desk staff (Lloyd) was very friendly and welcoming.
